Did you not see the first post of this thread? Did you not realize that the 1st post was referring to our ad back in November??? I was just saying that we re-posted the ad again which shows we are still trying to fill the same things as we were 4 months ago. Gotta read my whole post and look at dates of the 2 so you realize that i wasn't referring to the ad from last year...

It was posted on the same day this thread started. Pay particular attention to the "today" in mupanther's original post. Coach Bidlingmyer put an add in today on Basketbal Travelers, Inc. UW-Milwaukee is looking for multiple H/H series. 3 in Milwaukee and 1 on the road. We also would like to start a 2 for 1 with a BCS school on the road.

Because that is the name of the university. "MILWAUKEE" on jerseys and ESPN is an advertising tool. Besides most people still remember us from our Sweet Sixteen run as UW-Milwaukee, since that's what we were called in the media back then. Incidentally, if you want to watch UWM get hammered by Illinois but relive those glory days one more time, the entire Sweet 16 game is up on the NCAA website. Boo Davis' massive dunk takes place a little over a minute in.

Kent State is looking for a H/H starting on the road first. I would like that match-up with the Panthers.

I thought they were trying to do away with all hyphen related names and go by just "Milwaukee." Oh well.

Hammered? It was a single-digit game inside the last four minutes ... and the Panthers had the ball.

I'm sorry but I don't see why they would would specifically ask for a 2-1 with a "BCS" school. If I was Xavier, UNLV, Gonzaga ect. That would discourage me from offering us one. The only benefit playing a team like Iowa is that you have a better chance of winning on the road, but losing to them would be an RPI killer.

I would do a home and home with a "buy" game against Iowa. That way they get two home games and we get some money.
Luckily, Iowa's B-10 schedule boosts their RPI (because the Big 10 teams mainly gang up on low-majors in non-con, boosting their own RPI) to the point where a loss wouldn't be as damaging as one to a low-major.

BP, ganging up on low-majors doesn't boost your RPI; beating Arizona, Maryland and Duke does. Iowa's RPI was taking on water in part because it lost at home to a couple of low-majors. The other part, of course, is that the Hawkeyes only had 10 wins.
