Al has had poor nights shooting and great nights shooting this season. Second guessing Jeter choices after the game is unfair. How is he supposed to know how Al is going to shoot? Also, if Jeter had more effective options, he would have utilized them by now. I don't want to belabor this point because the Loyola game is over with and I'd like to move on, but it was clear that with 5 minutes to go in the 1st half that Al, and everyone else for that matter, was struggling shooting the ball. I have no way of proving this, unless you want to ask my wife, but I said at that point that Al needed to sit b/c he was being exploited on the defensive switches AND he wasn't lighting it up on offense. I'm not saying that Jeter's decision to stay with Al lost them the game and I'm not calling him out b/c I do think he's an excellent coach, but I found it surprising that nothing was being done about it.
