Let's not say ANY MORE. Panther fans aren't the only people who read this board. The less hints the better.

Birmingham Southern fits the bill as most of their team has already transferred due to them leaving D1 for D3.

Several posters think Mauldin will start. What is the overall thinking now on the starting lineup?

For what it's worth here is my projection:
Starters: Backups:
Franklin Skinner Mauldin Gentry Paulsen Anderson Swiggett Smith Massiah Hanson
Thornton should redshirt. Young and Hansen should provide spot duty

Trap, I think you're very close with your projection. That fifth spot, IMO, could go to Massiah, Skinner or Gentry. I think your other four starters are right on the money, based on what we know. Not a bad-looking starting five.

I'm wondering if they'll start Avo over Swiggett early on to show him the ropes. I could see Skinner starting in front of Messiah too. I'm also very interested to see what Averkamp can do at 6'8''. He averaged 21 points as a senior.

FYI, Mike Bendall averaged over 24 points per game as a senior at Oconomowoc.

Exactly, I think Bendall is under rated.

The problem with Mike is that he couldn't jump over the Washington County phone directory with a running start. Like many other walk-ons who have been through the program, he has limitations. You've heard of players who are 6-foot-3 but play like they're 6-6, Mike is 6-7 but plays like he's 6-3 without the perimeter skills.

Well, I thought he played some good D last year, and hopefully he's improved. Averkamp, on the other hand may just surprise some people. As UWM builds a name for itself, our walk-ons will get better just like our scholarship players. Remember, Avo was a walk on.

Avo was a walk on with the promise of a scholarship for this year...so not really a walk on.

Kaylan Andersen is a great talent and has an amazing ability to score. He'll be in the starting 5.

Kaylan Andersen is a great talent and has an amazing ability to score. He'll be in the starting 5. Has he shown an ability in practice to be an amazing scorer? I have never seen him in live action, so hopefully what you say is true. All I know was that in Canada he could put the ball in the hoop and he looked athletic at Midnight Madness.
