Watching the Bucknell vs. UNI game what a great environment getting pumped for the Panthers all of you at or going to the game put on a great show for the TV audience and get the cell rocking. It's a big game, win w/o our best team out there and it says alot not only for seeding in tourney but a morale booster and perhaps a slump buster.

Mo State played well in this game congrats to them and good luck the rest of the way.
I believe that if UWM was full strength I think it would've been a different outcome, but I'm glad AT gets the rest.
My thoughts on this game:
1. Post defense was terrible, could be direct result of not having AT. Actually defense in general was terrible, Mo State is a good team so is anyone when your shooting uncontested layups. 2. Need better outside shooting (seems like a trend here) UWM can't rely on the same thing every time, it's becoming too predictable. 3. McCoy well done keep playing w/that fire, and your 5th foul was garbage. 4. Turnovers; unforced errors Mo State's defense wasn't that intense UWM just threw it away, that's the reason the Panthers lost
THIS IS NOT WHY WE LOST: but the officiating again was brutal for both teams, one minute it's play on the next it's a foul. As I've stated in other posts be consistent with calls the whole game. In this game there was a stretch of about 5 minutes where every little touch was called and then the last 5 minutes they didn't call anything for either team. The refs set a tempo w/calls and if they keep changing that tempo w/inconsistency it ruins the game.
Last but not least possession arrow rule should change it punishes good defense, the offense should be punished for being tied up since they have advantage.

Yeah, the refs did suck....they didn't even whistle UWM for a technical foul when UWM fans threw something on the court when Ahearn was shooting FTs....what are you people thinking? You do it every year...

and the kicker was this time it was not even someone from the student section. This makes us look like a bunch of a-holes.
I had to tell about 10 kids to shut the f-up for either saying "Jeter sucks" or "we want Pearl back". Dont think any of them have been to a game yet this year and when I asked them if they had they clamed up tighter than...well fill in the blank

Its the stupid ESPN fans that only come because they have the small chance of getting on TV. Some older fans in my section need to grow up as well.
As for the game, JASON McCOY!!!!! Best game of his career, a real treat to watch someone who has the passion to play each possession.

Sorry guys, but we were outcoached today. Can somebody tell me why we only decided to bring the press out when we were down 9 or 10 w/ four minutes left? And we actually got turnovers, what a miracle! These guys could have been pressed out of the Cell today but, once again, we played with one arm tied behind our back. I just don't understand it and I wish somebody would explain it to me.

We've been outcoached 2 games in a row. I hope this isn't a trend. Plus Perry Watson coming in on tuesday...

Tucker needed to be on the court in the first half and not sitting on the bench with two fouls. I know coaches have their way of doing things like sitting a guy for the half when he has two fouls or fouling late in the game if you are up three, etc. but sometimes you have to be flexible. With no AT or Massiah we have zero depth at the forward position. Tucker sat an awful lot in the first half (haven't seen a box score) and, what do you know, didn't even foul out. In fact, he got his fourth with about 30 seconds left.
Some might say we were "only" down 6 at half with Joah sitting but, I'm sorry, if you are happy to be down at half at home then your expectations are entirely too low.

We had a glimpse of next year towards the end of the first half w/ Hanson, Young, and Smith out there at the same time. Um, it wasn't pretty. We better hope to God that Ricky Franklin and Paige Poulsen can score the ball or this offense will be lucky to get 50 a game.
Again, if someone can tell me why we didn't show full-court pressure until the end of the game I would love to hear it.

Does anybody think Roquemore will ask Jeter that question in the post-game press conference?
Me neither.

This was clearly a winable game today even with Tigert and Massiah out and that is the frustrating part.
Not sure why Jeter getting out coached is a big surprise. He is a rookie coach, no head coaching experience at any level. He is learning on the job with a group of seniors that that struggle to play the style of play he prefer to run as a coach. If he is still getting outcoached in two years then there is cause for concern, but not until then. People seem to think Pearl was a rookie coach when he came here, but spent what 9 years at D2 learning how to handle game situations as a head coach and played in meanful and post season games while he was coaching. Give the guy some slack, its not like the team has completely fallen apart and are going to finish in 5 or 6th place in the conference. Odds are they are still going to win or share the conference.
Why does Tucker need to be on the floor? What has he done that he has to be on the court? His defense has been suspect as of late, he makes poor decisons on offense and shot a wonderful 5 for 13 today with nearly all of those within 5 feet of the hoop. I was as big of a supporter of Tucker as there was, but I have gotten sick of him not stepping up and making the clutch plays a true leader and college star needs to make.

I don't know what game you watched, but the pressured the full court all game long, Missouri state just handled it the first 35 minutes.

What the hell game did you watch? We may have guarded the inbound but then dropped back. The last 10 minutes of the 1st half we didn't even guard the inbound. Get a clue.

So we give Jeter a couple of years to learn on the job? Since he's got no experience we should just accept the fact he'll get outcoached? I don't think that's what Bud Haidet had in mind when he hired Jeter.
