Those guys are REALLY arrogant pricks over there. I was forced to mix it up a little just now. You're getting janked on over there! lol Seriously though, most of the people on their board are very civil. They've given UWM their credit. A few people even mentioned rooting for the Mil if they make it to the tourney. We should do the same for them by supporting the mid-major teams that make the dance.

The more I think about the game tomorrow the more I think Mo St is gonna spank us all over our own gym. With AT and Massiah (likely) out hurts to start. The team has shown no abilty to break a zone yet this year and AT out hurts the chances of them getting it all of a sudden tomorrow since he is the best passer out of the post. We do not really have a guy that can drive and finish or pull up for that 15 footer to keep a defense way out of wack. Tucker will just lower his head if he drives, hill really never finishes tends to dish it somewhere, avo just does not have the ability to finish yet but can drive it and will and boo would rather shoot the 3 (dont have a problem with that). But one three ball threat, no true slasher or a tandom in the post has led to this team struggling against the zone.
I know people of sick of hearing about Young, but I really do not get why he does not see the court. In the YSU and CSU games he really seemed to be slowing down and playing well and then against UCI where we are already short handed he does not make it into the game. I would rather see him in the game than Wimmer at this point (and I thought Wimmer should see more minutes earlier in the year). Young just seems like he is only quality minutes away from putting the peices together and contribute for this team.
Anyway I will be down at the cell by 12 tomorrow getting loud early with a group of about 30 or so. But right now my pick for the game:
MO ST: 85 UWM: 74
...and thats with us making some points up late after the game has already been decided. Hope I am wrong and the guys put it together from the start and show the country that this team can ball and last year was no fluke.

UWM -2.5. Gotta say I really like Missouri ST and the points especially without Tigert.

"I honestly wonder sometimes if these guys are masochists b/c they complain so much about something they have season tickets for. They pay a few hundred dollars a season to be negative for 2+ hours, 2-3 times a week...it boggles my mind each and every game."
Those type of people probably complain 24 hours a day.

I don't feel real good about this game today boys.
AT is a crushing blow to this team.

I definitely think the game is winnable. It was a major blow to the team to lose AT in the middle of the UIC game. This way they have had a couple of days to mentally prepare; it is all on Ford's shoulders and I think he will come through. We all know he has always had the talent but has never been able to find a way to properly use it in a game. Today is the day when he comes out of his shell and blossoms. As much as this hurts us today and maybe against Detroit I believe that come conference tourney time this will make us a better team.

I was looking at Missouri States box scores and I noticed they run a 4 guard lineup like Villanova. I wonder if they will impact who Jeter will start. Davis,Hill,Tucker,McCoy and then Hanson or Smith or will he still start someone like Ford or Bendall? Should be interesting to see.

This game's going to take everyone hitting on all cylinders with very few mental errors and a big game by a surprise player for us to win IMO.
I'm not a betting man, but taking the points for Mo. St. sounds like a good deal!
Surprise me boys.

I'm done betting on Horizon league games after the Loyola/Butler debacle on Thursday night.
I think UWM wins this today. I mean, what are the odds of us shooting 58% again from the line and allowing the other team to hit 58% of their shots? It was a rivalry game and let's face it, UIC brought it and hit some really tough shots. We're a senior-dominated team and I think we'll come out ready. The one thing that does concern me, though, is what we've already talked about: the zone. And it does hamper us not having A.T. If Joah can get around the rim I don't think they have anybody who can match up against him. It ought to be a very entertaining game.
UWM 78, Missouri St. 73.

does anybody think there's a chance Coach Jeter may run a little zone today to help protect Big D from foul trouble and save the legs of our short bench? I know he's commited to man to man, but this seems like it would be a good time for a little match up mixed in.

This game is a lot more important for us than people seem to be treating it. Two losses at home in a row would really be enough to send us possibly to a 14 seed if we do make the tourney and a dominant win at home would be enough for a 12 seed. Not to mention the importance of our team's morale (or possibly Jeter's morale).
I see this season starting to head like it was two years ago when we couldn't function quite as well with an injured Page, and hence lossed in the championship. But a good win today without our glue guy would prove that we're not going to fold and are still one of the top mid-majors. Regardless, I'll be cheering hard as hell.

Remember this name and number. He's going to give us a long afternoon. No AT, no win. UWM surprise me, but I doubt it. Blake Ahearn Hill and Boo better bring their A game, because are facing an outstanding guard combo.

Not being at full strength for this one really hurts. LET'S GO PANTHERS!!!
