Well I think I'm the only one who thinks Jeter avoided a disaster last night and benching Tucker was a mistake. I seem to recall Boo jacking up an ill-advised three and Jeter promptly benching him, only to insert him back into the game a minute or two later. If you want to sit him out and talk to him, fine. But clinging to a two-point lead with one possession left in regulation, come on, get him back in there! We can't afford to lose a home conference game with the position we're in. Right now we're an at-large bubble team and we have to win out on our home court. It's not a given we'll win the HL tournament, just look at 2004. We won last night and that's the most important thing. But Jeter unnecessarily played with fire last night to prove some kind of point. Just my opinion.

Can anyone verify if Tucker was brushing off some of Jeter's instructions during the game last night? If that's the case, then I agree he should have been benched.

Well, I can tell you that's what I heard from a very reliable source.

Could it be that Tucker was trying to showcase himself in front of the "NBA Scouts" that were there to watch Schilb and Joah. If that's the case, Joah can book himself some tickets to Europe for pro basketball.

But Jeter unnecessarily played with fire last night to prove some kind of point. Just my opinion. I think RJ would have played with fire had he left Joah in the game. Personally, I am much more bothered by the lane violation and the missed defense asignment on Schilb than the missed dunk. Had Joah gone for the layup and had it rolled out, people would have complained about him not dunking (commonly observed when Dylan missed layups )

I hope Joah understands that mental errors will not help his case at all, even if he hits four three pointers.

But let's give him a break. Yeah I think he was shooting threes for the scouts but the rest of it may just have been nervousness bc the scouts were there or thinking about that more than he was the game

Maybe I am being too hard on him. He doesn't get 20 and hit the big threes he hit, we lose that game. I hold him up to the standard of last year's tourney run and that is probably unfair. He has too much talent though.

Joah seemed lethargic from the beginning. I was glad to see Al finally contribute. I have the feeling that all he lacks is confidence and maybe a bit of speed. Chris Hill was amazing, the real glue to this team, and in my opinion our MVP this year so far. I think other teams have decided to play Tigert the way CS played him. Jason had a great game. Did anyone see ED Mc. in the stands. He seemed pleased when I recognized him.

I've nicknamed Avery Smith's shot "the sidewinder" due to its spin and amazing inaccuracy. ;D ;D LOL

I like to think of Avo's shot as that famed soap opera, "...As the Shot Turns...." Who ever taught him to shoot that way should be shot. Sideways.
