Damn it, Hack beat me to the early vegas line......I must be slipping . I was a little to involved with the Badger game since I had them at -1 1/2. I agree 11 1/2 is a lot to lay. IMO, the O/U of 146 is too hard to bet on also.

Cool. Finally got my buddy and his 14-year old son to go to a game with me.

One of the reasons Milwaukee's game with Loyola is important is recruiting. Coach Whitesell has made it a point to target Wisconsin kids for his program - Levin, Blount, and Polka. With a boatload of D1 schools in the Chicagoland area (not to mention the whole state of Illinois) Whitesell has made it a point to recruit against the three D1 schools in Wisconsin - sorry, GB make that four. Milwaukee and Loyola will be going after a lot of the same kids in the years to come. Taking care of them at home is important. Loyola had a scout at the New Berlin West-New Berlin Eisenhower game tonight. Can only assume he was eyeing Ike's 6-foot-11 Matt Dorlack.

i think we'll be alright tomorrow night. like i said before, the rest can only benefit them. i wouldn't be surprised if Loyola came out hot and we start slow but in the end our talent and experience will prevail. don't know why but i see boo having a bad night as well.

Dorlack, his dad, and another guy (assuming it was his coach) sat right next to me during the Butler game. For what it is worth, his dad had on a UWM sweatshirt....

Funny (maybe positive) note about last night's Eisenhower game ... it seemed like Eisenhower's coach was blowing off the Loyola scout, who was waiting and waiting and waiting to talk to someone.

That was his second game because I saw him earlier in the year too. Also have seen Haarsma once....

well, reading the Loyola board you get the feeling most of them are looking for this game tonight to be less than close. i'm not so sure about that. historically we've handled LU at home. i hope that continues but it will hinge on matching their energy early on. hopefully the couple days off we've had will go a long way towards doing that. couple that with the motivation to play an all around solid game and guard home court, who knows, maybe we will cover the 11 1/2? we'll need good bench contribution to do it.
with our upcoming road marathon we really must win this game... and hopefully in impressive fashion to carry some mojo out on the road. i see Detroit posters are already trying to make a huge deal out of our matchup next week.

i see Detroit posters are already trying to make a huge deal out of our matchup next week. i love the "undefeated at Calihan" mention. while its good to market, beating Rochester College, Western Michigan, Canisius, Chicago, UWGB, Loyola and YSU isn't much to brag about.

Is it just me, or is anyone else pissed that there is abso-to-lutely zero pre-game coverage on jsonline.com? I am getting so tired of this crap coverage.
Go Panthers!

That is too damn funny. Or I could ask if she is really playing a twisted game of Bruce Pearl ala newsroom version, setting her sights on securing a Marquette sports position.
By the way, what happened with Dan Manoyan from last year? I really enjoyed his writing on UWM.

I emailed our esteemed journalist this morning. She responded saying that she was working on two "big" stories for UWM right now. She then told me to take my complaints elsewhere - to the JS Sports Editors. Ya, that'll get us somewhere.
