Nothing like the KCenter. Why not let the women play in the Arena?

Nothing like the KCenter. Why not let the women play in the Arena? Meaning a DH at the Arena? You get charged double in rent.

I have a number of friends who think that the entire tournament should be in Vegas. If it has to be at a neutral site, that would be so much better for fans than Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

This game makes sense at the K I guess since it's going to be Detroit. However, had we hosted a QF game, I'd be disappointed if being played on campus instead of downtown.

We need to play D-I home games downtown or build an on-campus arena. The K was never designed to host games. I know that is beating a dead horse. I think more people would be fine playing on campus if it wasn't at the K.

Ya, I think Detroit would be lucky to get 1K. You might be more students to show up at the KC. I don't even know, is doing buses still a thing to UWMPA?

My over/under for ACTUAL fan attendance on Tuesday is 450. These first round games do not draw well anywhere in the conference.

I want the streetcar "M" Line to continue to campus so I can hop off at the corner of Hartford and Maryland and walk into a gorgeous brand new 3500 seat arena. I'm still up for committing fraud so one of us can "win" the lottery. Someone call David Stern and figure out how they got the ping pong balls to come up roses!

I think that 4,500-5,000 is the sweet spot. In my opinion, you take our top historical attendance era (2003-06) and build it right in that range, allowing some room for the fan base to grow back while still making games a relatively tough ticket.

This game makes sense at the K I guess since it's going to be Detroit. However, had we hosted a QF game, I'd be disappointed if being played on campus instead of downtown. Were you upset last year when we hosted Wright State there? The atmosphere is unbeatable when you put 3k people there. I’m not saying for UDM we’ll have that but for a QF game I’d rather have a wild atmosphere than a mild one at the arena.

This leads me to reflect on the myriad other problems with games on campus, including parking and having a pregame meal at Qboda. As has been stated many times before, it's a tough sell for those wanting to fold a game into a "night out."

I'd like to know how many people decided not to come last year because the game was on campus. I know plenty of long time fans who will not attend if the game is at the K. I was a part of plenty of wild crowds back in the day at the Cell. Nothing beats it. Also, if it wasnt for Jimmy leading the student section last year against WSU, I doubt the student crowd would have been organized or as loud as they were.

Ahhh...it's that time of the year again. Days are getting longer, weather teases us that spring is somewhere around the corner, the crack of the bat can almost be heard all the way from Arizona and Florida, and we hijack threads with our annual Panther basketball venue discussion. May I suggest moving the discussion to one of a gazillion existing threads? For your convenience, here is one. uwmfreak.proboards.com/thread/8034/all-favor-full-time-move

In concerned about a Tuesday and Thursday game. I remember last year, Wright State looked gassed in the tourney compared to the first 2 times. Coach is going to have to go deeper on the bench.
Also, I agree. Green Bay is the best option. Maybe the department will get a fan bus, if so.
