Please don't continue until you start making sense. Tell me where I'm wrong, smart guy. Otherwise why don't you stop. I don't know why people continue to b**** about TT not being a big player in FA. That's what he was known for in Seattle and the fact he's kept it going here should be absolutely no surprise. TT was also known for seeing the guard position as a "fill-in" spot that doesn't warrant top dollar. Going w/ that logic... Signing Faneca - considering TT is known for not throwing big money at guards and Faneca, who was considered the top G in FA, was going to command the argument ends here and is 32 years old. Faneca was offered $22M guaranteed from the Jets and if you think TT was going to offer something similar you are extremely clueless. Crumpler - Arguably the top TE available. With that said, if you think he's still in his physical prime you can't be anymore wrong. Essentially since being released, a large consensus among many around the league has been his knees won't allow him to be as effective as he once was and will be a role player from here on out. Not only that but he felt a mobile quarterback allows him to create more separartion from defenders which is something GB can't even compete with. Care to prove me wrong on any of this?

I b*itch about TT being a blithering idiot moron, not just FA.
I b*tch about wasted picks on injury prone fat guys, slow running backs, and OL "prospect" after OL "prospect".
I b*tch about firing the best cap guy in football.
I b*tch about the arrogant attitude.
I b*tch becaue he gets credit for Seattle even though they had to get rid of him and his non FA policy to make the Super Bowl.
I b*tch becasue he sucks like a Dyson.
I b*tch becasue he was a horrid hire in the first place.
I b*tch becasue this tool continues tio find new and awsome ways to make Packer fans throw up in their mouths.
I cannot wait to see what this moron does in the draft. I'll bet he trades down a record number of times, and looks for "value picks" in the 8th round. (There is no 8th round, brewtown, just so you know.)
Crumpler would have been a risky signing, but certainly an upgrade from Franks, and at about the same money. Would have been worth looking into at least, considering Crumpler would not have needed to play every down.
Stallworth would have been a good fit. Size for over the middle and a good West Coast route runner. Too bad he's a small 6 feet 200 pounds. Maybe Harrell can play WR? At least he's not undersized.
TT conducts himself as though FA doesn't Start until after the draft. If he doesn't draft a guy, he doesn't want them.
As much as he's responsible for Woodson, he's also responsible for drafting and later singing as a FA Manuel (who sucked). Where's his "credit" for that from all the TT lovers. He made the same stupid decision twice on the same guy in 2 places. Seattle actually laughed at that signing.
Faneca was expensive, but considering that the Packers could only run on the edges, arguably worth the money. It would have been an upgrade over the putzs at the position now.
Wait until China Doll Rodgers gets hit in the mouth becasue Colledge blew another assignment. His head may actually come off on live TV.

Tommy: Hey, I'll tell you what. You can take a good look at a butcher's ass by sticking your head up there. But, wouldn't you rather to take his word for it?
Mr. Brady: [confused] What? I'm failing to make the connection here son. Tommy: No, I mean, you can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking your head up a butcher's ass, but then..no. It's gotta be your bull.
Richard: [embarrased] Wow.
Tommy: Here's the deal. If I want you..
Richard: You have derailed.
Tommy: Shut up Richard.
Mr. Brady: Boy, I've really got a loss for words here.
Tommy: Forget it, I quit, I can't do this anymore, man. My head's about to explode. My whole life sucks. I don't know what I'm doing, I don't know where I'm going. My dad just died. We just killed Bambi. I'm out here getting my ass kicked and every time I drive down the road I wanna jerk the wheel INTO A GODDAMNED BRIDGE EMBUNKMENT.

You must have a reading comprehension problem. My argument wasn't whether or not Thompson WOULD go after a guy like Faneca, it was whether he SHOULD have. It was a carousel at guard all year long. It's an obvious need, especially now with what amounts to a rookie QB leading the team. While Favre wasn't especially mobile the past four years, nobody in the NFL was able to feel the pressure and step away from it better than him. No QB had a release as quick as him. Now, with a QB who's as brittle as Rodgers, it's imperative more than ever to protect him. Just how is that going to be accomplished? Colledge can't be relied upon. Spitz and Moll are, at best, run of the mill. You think a rookie is going to come in an anchor one of the spots? If so, you're dreaming. Yes, Thompson would've had to "overpay" for Faneca. So what. They have more than enough money to do it and it's an immediate upgrade. If you can't see this, you need to start watching some more football.

Stallworth is undersized? 6-0 200 lbs? Are you smoking left handed right now? Hit the pipe a bit hard this morining??? You're just a TT lover. Do you even watch football??? He's bigger than almost 90% of the WR's in the league!!! Dude...whatever. Say what you want about me...it makes me laugh that you get so worked up, so easily. It really is too easy. As the youtube link posted in response to your long-azz post said...Serenity now! Okay, okay...so I was wrong about Stallworth being undersized. My point is...he wouldn't be more than the 4th WR on the Packers. And spending $5 million a year would've been a bad idea, IMO. I do watch football by the way...do YOU? If you did then you'd remember Stallworth on the Eagles a few years ago...he missed 4 or 5 games with a hamstring injury. He also missed a couple games last year too. I thought you were against injury-prone players... Hmmm, interesting logic there. And for the record...I'm not a "TT lover". I just know that I'm not in the NFL and have never worked within the NFL, so I don't claim to know all about the NFL like you. As someone said earlier...this isn't Madden. It's the real world. Things don't work out like they do in video games. Get a grip! And your response to Nick Barnett's situation is that TT won't re-sign Hawk b/c he's got too much money tied up in LB's right now... You truly are a piece of work hawk.

I don't understand all the Stallworth love when you already have Driver, Jennings, and Jones. He is being made out to be this great receiver, however he has done nothing in his career outside of a few solid games in Philly. Also, talk about an injury risk.
Edit: Looks like Brewtown beat me to it....

Misrepresenting and exagerrating somebody else's position isn't a great way to win an argument, bball. Let's have a little honesty in this debate, alright? Might want to apply your own criticisms to your posts. Kind of working on one of those Pot/Kettle things here...

I don't even play Madden. It's stupid and unrealistic.
Kind of like Ted Thonpson.
I've played, coached and watched football since I was 10. and the NFL is not rocket science.
We have China Doll Rodgers and Craig F-ing Nall on the roster now. Nice. could have had Brady Quinn, but we needed an injured fat guy more.
We have 1 proven TE now. Perfect. That will work just great.
I just threw up in my mouth.

Nighthawk and uwm97...you guys are starting to get out of line...
If you think Alan Faneca would have fit into the ZBS...you don't know sh*t about football.
If you think Brady Quinn is that big of an upgrade over Aaron Rodgers that you need to spend another 1st round pick to get him then you don't know sh*t about football
You want to invest another 60 million dollars over 6 years into a cornerback? What happens to the two we have now? Ask them to be content as a nickel corner or a safety? You're nuts!
Did you want Ted Thompson to have a pricey backup QB behind Brett Favre in case he retired? That's stupid...Brett wass THE ironman of the NFL...you sign an expensive veteran backup before he retires just in case he does??? He just retired last night for goodness sake.
Did you want them to keep Bubba Franks??? He wasn't worth what we were due to pay him. Kris Wilson...basically a Bubba Franks clone, can be had for much cheaper. Alge Crumpler was a guy who was overpaid and isn't worth the headache that he is.
Stallworth? STALLWORTH!!?? He wasn't even that good in New England. Yes he's a deep threat. No he's not bigger than 90% of all WR's and he's injury prone too. So how does that support your arguments?
I hate TT too, but I don't want him to pay guys who aren't worth paying. And you guys have gone WAY over the top...

brewtown didn't get personal nighthawk... I appreciate your opinions, but you leave no room for anyone else's. You continuously pick apart people's posts and tell them why they're wrong and you're right...come on, make your argument and be done.

This type of thead could be exactly why I lost some interest in the Packers last year.
I'll watch the games from beginning to end, but after that, I'm not going to get all caught up all the other crap anymore.
