This kind of stretch is a firm reminder of reality. Oakland is not as bad as their record, but Milwaukee still might be the worst Horizon League team outside of Green Bay and IUPUI this year. Of course, they could go on a stretch where they get back into the game and they look like contenders again. But these kinds of streaks are so disheartening.

I think it’s a little of column A, a little of column B, and I hope I’m wrong on this, but perhaps it’s a little bit a sign that Milwaukee is just not that much better than last year. |

Oakland perennially plays the toughest non-con schedule in the HL, so their record always sucks at this time of year. While they are playing Syracuse and Michigan State, we play Cardinal Stritch and North Park.
