At the picnic the coaches mentioned probably having a doubleheader with the women on 11/7 - is that likely to happen given the 11/8 game at Purdue?

Monday, November 7th is the official start of NCAA basketball. Most games fall on that day. It's to avoid Election Day for scheduling, yet it sounds like that rule is done already.
I did hear rumors that it's a men's/women's doubleheader at the KC.

I realize that someone is paid a lot of money to do this, but I'll never understand why we're playing Green Bay on a Thursday and a Monday. Not long ago, it was the best rivalry in the league ... and maybe I just answered my own question.

I realize that someone is paid a lot of money to do this, but I'll never understand why we're playing Green Bay on a Thursday and a Monday. Not long ago, it was the best rivalry in the league ... and maybe I just answered my own question. First six leagues. Five start on the road. Fine with me as those dates tend to be tougher draws. |

Not long ago, it was the best rivalry in the league ... and maybe I just answered my own question. Milwaukee and Green Bay are now the only remaining central time outposts of an east leaning league. They are also, to be honest, moribund programs. The putrescence of both programs over the last six seasons has left the rivalry with minimal interest in Wisconsin and none outside it. If Lundy can revive the Milwaukee program maybe the league schedulers will give some respect to the game in future years, but unless Green Bay also revives or the composition of the league changes radically, don’t count on it. |

I’m guessing only those games which are certain or rumored are included in the above post. Even assuming the URI game is in December, that would indicate only one game from December 4-28. That seems highly unlikely.
