The host of this show on 1250 is an idiot. He obviously doesn't know much, at least about UWM. He said he was blindsided by the news that Baldwin had been fired.

I have sirius xm for my college fix. I stumbled into yesterday's show with Sparky & Gary Ellerson. They thought Baldwin was at Milwaukee for two years. Said its a bad look to fire Baldwin after his son committed. They knew nothing. While Mark Belling had a 20 minute spot Wednesday on the firing. He sounded like someone we know on this board. He said, I would fire Amanda Braun and hire back Rob Jeter. Talked about the CBI, CIT. Pearl, Jordan and the wreaking of Amanda Braun of the program, etc.

True but could you imagine? The returning players would have to change from a no movement dribble-Rama offense to something that requires so much passing and teamwork. That would be a shock. would it be a shock. Or would they be happy to play movement basketball? Haha probably both.

He was assistant to Pearl in 2005. I think Pearl's entire 2001-2005 tenure.

a lot of reasons, here goes
*we are looking for someone who can flat out coach and make adjustments. Jason is an X's and o's savant when it comes to designing plays, game plans and adjusting mid game on the spot. Truth be told he was a main cog when Pearl was here in doing just that.
*style of play
*Demeanor....quiet and humble yet not stiff and aloof. Not defensive and projects positive energy. Does not make excuses or have sense of entitlement from being on someones coaching tree.
*. sticks to his word....has courage and also empathy and ability to relate to todays student athletes ie his courage at ETSU
* secure in his skin....takes accoutability and can maintain and project discipline
Suggest Braun talk to some people like Joah, Adrian Tigert and others about him.....loyal individual but nobodys fools

I like Shay. Has great experience and connection. College coach at Iowa is a Hall of Famer. Everyone’s favorite, Bruce Pearl, learned the game from same coach. Shay stood by his players taking a knee in rural Tennessee. Plays uptempo style offense with pressing defense. Animated in coach’s box. Knows the league and the referees. Midwest guy. What is not to like. Saw Eric Henderson, head coach at So. Dakota State, in Rosiak’s article in JS. Burlington, Wi native I believe. Anyone think he might be a top candidate?

Great thoughts Harold Lee....as regards Henderson, yes, but why would be leave there to come here? Talk about a lateral move at best. Boy, Jason Shay would be great.

Not sure why Eric Henderson would leave SDST as a Summit League head coach to Milwaukee in the Horizon. You figure the next step would be MVC, MWC or something.

Went 13-12 in his lone year. After 30-4 season the year before. Seems like a red flag.
