Oh, and it also bears mentioning that Coach Scott Davenport's offensive system leads to a CRAZY high amount of high flying alley-oop dunks, on the regular. Think FGCU "Dunk City" under Andy Enfield levels.
Now what coach, and what system, is going to possibly sell more tickets in year 1, and get more free media attention/publicity, and bring in more casual WI sports fans, than that?

Davenport is a Louisville lifer. Born there, went to UL, coached high school ball in the city, and was an assistant at UL before getting the Bellarmine head job. Plus he's in his 60s. I don't see him leaving, at least not for UWM.

Davenport is a Louisville lifer. Born there, went to UL, coached high school ball in the city, and was an assistant at UL before getting the Bellarmine head job. Plus he's in his 60s. I don't see him leaving, at least not for UWM. True but could you imagine? The returning players would have to change from a no movement dribble-Rama offense to something that requires so much passing and teamwork. That would be a shock. |

Majerle will never coach college basketball again. Last I heard his wrongful termination lawsuit against GCU is still pending. I am not a lawyer or judge, but from the perspective of this GCU season ticket holder, the suit is without merit. |

Lets be real, this is not a desirable job right now. As long as there is no new AD, it won't matter. Let's find a winning D2 coach, and let them rebuild this thing. And fire Braun now!!!
