We CAN NOT hire another assistant. I repeat, we CAN NOT hire another assistant, without head coaching experience who isn't a proven recruiter. No more learning on the job. Additionally, who trust AB to make the correct "up and coming" assistant. How about we hire a proven one that demands excellence and who needs another chance before heading back to a Power 5 or a proven mid-major hire: Mark Turgeon LeVelle Moton Chris Mack Dan Majerle John Thompson III Jason Capel Stop swinging small because only a big hire can save this program. Yes let’s hire a coach that is losing their job because they couldn’t coach and win games Whatever man, look at their ENTIRE careers. Don't just criticize these options, name your preferred candidates. Who??? |

This might be unrealistic, but I would go hard after Steve Prohm. He had 2 Murray St teams finish the regular season top-25 3 years apart.

McCollum would probably be my top reasonably choice that I’m aware of. Consistent success at the D-2 level is huge.
I wouldn’t mind Linc Darner. I think he got a raw deal in Green Bay and did a really good job at one of the toughest programs in the league.
I doubt Paris would want to come here. As for Tom Crean, I’m absolutely against that. If there’s one coach to despise more than pmck, it’s Crean. My tradition of booing the head coach when he’s introduced would continue.
My knowledge of possible coaches is not deep, but from what I’m reading, McCollum is probably my first choice, Darner is near the top, and Crean can go coach Faireigh Dickinson for all I care.
