Im blown away by a guy whose maybe had the best run in D2 ever. Plus hes a young guy who could maybe rise with the program.

McCollum on the list alone has me feeling better about the direction of the search. Much better than *insert 3 B1G assistants here*.

For those interested in playing at a fast pace, I would rate the three in the following order:
1, Bart Lundy 2, Stan Gouard 3, Ben McCollum

1. Isn't this projected top 3 list, a bit underwhelming? Is anyone blown away? 2. Why is it important for the next Coach to have state/WIAC ties? We only have 2/15 players on our roster from Wisconsin (1 was hurt most of the season and the other didn't play much). The top players in our state will not be coming here any time soon. So maybe it’s time to start recruiting local. And why would no local player want to come here yet they go to the great campus of Green Bay.

The fact that we have 2 D2 coaches on that list who have top 25 ranked teams makes me very happy. While he wasn't great at High Point, Lundy has D1 experience. Mccollum would definitely be MY first choice, but I would be happy with him or Lundy. Not to mention there is still time for more interviews/candidates.

Straight up, you can't get local talent if you arent active recruiting local talent.

Todd quoted that previous tweet and added
D2 West Liberty University Coach Ben Howlett and that he heard they expressed intrest in Rob Ehsan, but is staying with Stanford.

Someone send the University PJ down to Missouri and don't leave till McCollum agrees to buy some winter clothes.

Send Chris Zills, make him wait outside his house with a contract in hand.

West Liberty plays at a frenetic pace. Almost Grinnell-like. The Hilltoppers lost in the D-2 quarterfinals last year to McCollum and Northwest Missouri State, which slowed the pace of the game to a near-crawl.

West Liberty has eclipsed 100 points 19 times this season and is still alive in the D-2 Atlantic Regional. Fascinating pool of candidates.

Yeah looks like the University heard us last week about what seems to be the fact that almost all of us would like to see the next HC to be a HC that has won. If anything being a high level D2 coach shows me you can coach the game just have to hope they can recruit the necessary way in the 2022 landscape.
