Read Steve's post again. Not Jeter's staff. The spots don't change.
I assume everyone here realizes that in the end we are more likely to get someone pimped to AB by her search firm than any of the successful head coaches that are being discussed, right? Could they by chance pimp one of those folks? Sure. Gotta get their beak wet.
Of course, I'm guessing their first question to any potential candidate is "Are you desperate enough for this job that you are willing to work for that AD?" They also gotta protect their flank in other coaching searches. The coaching community talks. A lot.

Chattanooga just won in OT to secure their NCAAT spot.
After a late 3 sent it to OT, Lamont was able to get his team focused and still win the game.
I hope we reach out to Lamont Paris. The guy can coach.

No doubt. Apprenticed under Bo Ryan and Greg Gard and was a terrific recruiter for the Badgers.
Why he’d want to come here I have no clue.

Looks like he makes over $300,000 per year plus incentives in a deal that was extended through 2025. Also realize that his existing program is the best in a better league.

I don't know why one would need a search firm when it's been abundantly clear for awhile PBS was getting fired. I'm assuming they're more confidential? Lord knows this university loves not disclosing extensions so it wouldn't surprise me.

In four years as the head coach at Minnesota-Duluth, Justin Wieck has an overall record of 70-31 including a record of 25-5 this season, and has just taken Minnesota-Duluth to their first NCAA (division 2) tournament appearance in 19 years.

I dont mind a proven winner in D3 or D2 being the next guy. Still think if you don't bring in a few wiac guys to see if one is the perfect fit youre doing your job wrong but the AD here seems to love doing their job wrong sooooo

As much as I loathe to admit it, I could totally see that guy working for this guy...

Cool. Not saying he is top top ideal choice but good to have options. If he does prevail re-upping my season tickets. Will do that if other choice turns out to be really good also

Realistically, my alphabetical top 5 would be something like Austin Claunch (lead assistant with local ties), Linc Darner, Ben McCollum (lead assistant with local ties), Pat Miller and Bob Semling. Let's get a PROVEN WINNER here!!!!

Let's get a PROVEN WINNER here!!!! Bob Semling? For real? Look I know I’m a glass half full guy, but I think we can do a little better than a WIAC coach who just got off probation. The rest of your list is relevant. I think we should still reach out to the top candidates before trying to settle.
