Don't think Jason would be intrigued by a lateral move going from Wake Forest and Steve Forbes to assistant here. BTW there is an actual successful head coach from the Pearl coaching tree, Steve Forbes. Must be just coincidence by Jason when paired with Forbes and Pearl had unbelievable success. Not that there is a direct causal relationship but Jason goes and teams up with Forbes this year at Wake and surprise, surprise they have a greatly improved record vs prior year....who knows? Just sayin...

My only reservation with Austin other than non mid west is the conference NIcholls State is in...then again they played Wiscosnin tough and beat Northern Iowa!!! we should talk hey being in the HL??? Also I just glanced at Kenpom and CHICAGO STATE is ahead of us in the rankings!!!! Holy crap!!!!!

You are preaching to the choir!!! He would be a great choice, not sure we can outbid other interested higher mid major suitors and if I were him I would "underwrite" who you would be reporting to and make a lot of inquiries. No shock or revelation here but a huge trust issue with AB, political animal, says one thing to please one person then opposite to another if in self interest. That comes from people within the mens basketball coaching staff , not Jeter coaches...wont say more to protect my source which has first party knowledge

Yeah, most recent public info on public media is that he was given a 4 year extension running through 2023-24 season...no dollar amount given

American actually went to NCAA and was really good in recent memory. Reason on this it stood out to me is that our son got his Masters Degree there after under grad at Madison. Anyway, also a funny anecdote on Bethune Cookman Bo ryan was not always politically correct in his filter. I remember him joking on the radio when he was Panther coach he called them Book-em Cookman....would be a little more sensitive today let us say to refer to them as that

I was told I should have it this week, most likely tomorrow. I'll post it as soon as I get it. Something else about McCollum: the dude is 40. He's accomplished a hell of a lot for a guy born in 1981. |

AB's reputation is that she is not trustworthy and the coaching community knows it. Any candidate that doesn't simply needs to google her name (which they will) and find out how very public her faults are. I hope we get a great replacement at head coach, but I don't think we've quite driven it home just how important it is that even if AB makes the hire, we still pursue a replacement in that position. |
