In my defense, I thought PBJ was playing. Also, if you let the Detroit team shoot open shots in warmup, I don’t know if they hit at this percentage. They could beat Gonzaga and Duke if they shoot 70% from the floor and 60% from 3 Oh for pity’s sake. Just stop. |

I suspect (and this is pure speculation, but someone else has mentioned future earnings potential, etc. and it is the only thing that makes sense to me) there may have been some kind of tacit agreement that PBJ would never take even the most minor risk to bodily injury this season so as to protect himself.
And that is understandable.
What is not understandable is how we were sold a very different story. Hook, line and sinker. Hell, I sold dreams on my little web log. But I was working with wrong information. Strangest ever season. I hope we can turn it around and PBJ makes his positive, lasting mark befoire it is too late.

Let's talk anecdotes. At one of the recent home games (Rhode Island? Youngstown?) we could not even execute the A/V for the player introductions. As a jumbotron showcased our Panther starters, menacing themed music blasted throughout the Arena setting up for... "Oops!" The sound cuts off. Then back on! Then back off.  If we do not even practice these kinds of things... The song was on a flipping CD or an old 45 record who the hell would know. If anyone did they'd lie about it for fear of retaliation from the most oddly ineffective/ adversly affecting leader I've ever tried to support (AB). To put insult to injury... the CD/45 record started hiccuping again during warmups. I think people need to consider what these kinds of things communicate to the players themselves. Ok, this is how much you value us?"It's the LITTLE THINGS". This show has to get a new showmaster. I'm old, but still young enough to hope. If you have any respect for UWM you cannot let this shoddy astro-turfed, half-baked, back-patting, farce- continue. I'm looking at Mark Mone for whom I, if not many others on this board, still have respect for. It's the LITTLE THINGS. |

we gave up 39 freaking points to 1 player. we';ve scored 58 AS A TEAM as of this post. is there a word worse than 'pathetic'? does 'wretched' count?

The team was ill prepared for tonight. They had to know Detroit would play zone and they had no clue what to do. Prime example of an awful coaching staff.

They have to change the line-up, no way around it. I hope PBJ is ok but he’s probably protecting his draft stock and they should prepare like he’s done. Based on this season, he’s not better than Davis from Detroit or Davis from Wisconsin. Every game he plays drops his stock. So move on, change the lineup and fight to get to 500.
