Guys on TV are complaining about having two sub .500 teams in postseason. Hey, they expanded to 16 of 30 teams! Do the math! What did you expect!
16 was good for this short season I liked it, but please MLB, let's cut it back to where it was for normal seasons. Don't be tempted by the extra $$$.
Also, since it's a tournament this year, is it any different if, say the Badgers would qualify for the NCAA tournament with a 9th place B10 finish at 7-11? I don't think so.

There's talk of keeping the 16 teams format for next year. The playoffs are likely to remain expanded from the previous 10 teams format. 12 for me works, make the 3rd division winner go through the wildcard round

so how do we shock the baseball world and beat the Dodgers? thoughts? Have Woodruff and Suter pitch like they did in the Cardinals series. Have the main bullpen guys pitch like they have all season. Offensively, make Yelich and Huira believe it is 2018 or 2019. Have Braun add to his big game lore before he hangs up the uniform. Have guys like Garcia and Narvaez wake up. Most importantly, the staff and players need to believe they can win two of three games in LA. Under Craig Counsel, they certainly will believe. It's baseball, and some lower seeds will likely advance. Why not the Brewers?

Or to put it more simply, CP, if the Brewers do everything they didn't do all season, and don't do everything they did, they got this!
With the news that Devin Williams is out, that seems even less likely.

Exactly. In baseball more than any other team sport, strange things like that happen. A few Brewer bloopers that fall in and Dodger line shots that are caught, and the Brewers could pull this out. I like cheering for the underdogs. That's why I'm a Panther fan.
We all know a team that went only 29-31 in the regular season could not possibly win one of these best of three series. Oh, wait, never mind, the Astros just did. I would be surprised if the Brewers won, but they do have a shot at it.
For me, it is all about extending the season one game at a time. A lot of things did not go well for the Brewers this year, starting with Cain's opt out and most recently with the loss of Burnes, Anderson and Williams. Yet here they are still playing. I am happy with that. It is a long off season, no need to bail now. Go Brewers!

the twins have lost 18 straight postseason games the longest such streak in North American sports. Mindboggling.
