This is about where I'm at. End of next season if there's no noticeable improvement I'll stop buying tickets and stop watching as many games online. Checking scores online will be my primary means of following the program. You are giving them a year longer than I have. While I generally don't put too much stock in any one game, getting blown out at home by the historical doormat of your terrible conference is clearly a rock bottom point. This is like watching bad high school basketball. As for the conversation on the AD, she will not get another year. Her contract expires in June and it will either not be renewed or she will get an extension for 2+ years. We will be either be free of her or stuck with her for the foreseeable future. Maybe this disaster currently unfolding on the court before us needs to happen to force a change in leadership, but I have little confidence that a change will actually be made. When is the last time that UWM had a good AD? Maybe it's not fair to her given that Mone supposedly interfered with the TJ Otzelberger hire but it doesn't really matter. The bottom line is that the AD made several decisions over the past few years that has resulted in this program being significantly worse by any measure. The players, fans, and alumni deserve better.

Bluntly, this is NOT a program that's reflective of the passion that its fans have for it. Where's the urgency?!

I cannot watch the game for reasons previously stated on this thread. Based on portions of it that I heard live on the radio, your collective comments, the final score and even Pat Baldwin's comments, it must have been horrible to watch.
Because the UWM marketing machine does not run on all cylinders, maybe only the team, and not any fans, were informed today was Concordia St Paul Day at Panther Arena???
At least given how lowly YSU is, if there is one team to split the season series with by getting a road victory, YSU is it.
I am looking forward to the next two games in Michigan to see how the team responds to today's fiasco. It would not surprise me if they got swept, split or sweep. That's how it works sometimes, sports fans.
As for the usual panic we display on this message board after a frustrating loss, go ahead and vent. That, in part, are what message boards are for.

After not renewing this season, I really thought I would miss going to games. I basically only miss spending time with my family at the games and the rest of the group in 323. Not sure when I will be back. Likely when AB and PB are gone.

Yep, Cactus panic has set in! Now, some are calling for Baldwin's head. Another, wording was is the team quit on coach. Let's take a step back people! We have more pages on this game, than the trilling comeback wins at UMKC or Western Michigan. Did the players quit on coach in that game. I don't need tough guy talk because one is proud for not coming up with $13 to go watch a basketball game. Good luck to you, finding something else to do with that little money for an event.

Irrespective of which side of the fence any of us fall over past regimes, the one thing that binds us as fans is our shared passion for this program. With 10 double-digit HOME losses over the last 2 1/2 years -- vs. 20 from the prior 11 and to the likes of Western Illinois, Concordia St. Paul and Youngstown State -- it's clear that whether it's the talent level, coaching, administrative indifference, intensity or a combination of all of the above, something is SORELY lacking here.

I like what you just stated GoD. But why compare the last 2.5 years with only the previous 11? Wouldn't your point be stronger, and appear less biased, by comparing it with at least the previous 15 or 17 years? Using the 11 year year period implies a certain side of the fence as a basis for your argument.
The longer period minimizes perception about perceived bitterness or anger over specific historical events. It also lessens the potential of perceived like or dislike for certain individuals. In other words the longer period adds credibility to your point about the current state of affairs and need for vast improvement.
Having stated the above, I won't let concern for the future, including prognosis' for the state of the program, cloud what is in front of me at the present. Again, I look forward to the next game as much as any other regular season game. And the game after that, and the game after that, etc. Go Panthers!

In the six years prior to Jeter's arrival, we lost by double digits at home on only two occasions, both in Bo Ryan's first year: to Wisconsin by 20 and to Butler by 12.

dylan,, the only passion left is in the dozen people who argue on this board. How many times do people need to hear it? WE are not the problem. The problem is that the VAST majority of the program’s fans have left!
Does anyone here actually believe we have had as many as three home games since Braun’s idiotic decision that have attracted 1,000 PAYING fans!? You would have to be blind AND deaf to believe that. You were there yesterday at that pathetic spectacle, dylan — and I’m not talking about the horrific play on the court. Did it seem to you like the “fans” at the game were typical Panther fans — or Panther fans at all? Even that sorry gaggle was a manufactured fraud of vouchers and discounts. Do you think they’ll be back? Public interest in our program has DISAPPEARED!! The people have spoken!
At any University in America that cared about its athletics program heads would have justifiably rolled by now.
We are watching a nightmare of both benign and malign neglect.

A short answer to your question, Fran, No, they weren't engaged in the game. It appeared as if vouchers were perhaps issued to local youth ministries or families looking for something to do on a Saturday night.

I'm just trying to bring together the few of us who remain to acknowledge this one indisputable fact: there has been such significant slippage here that unless something changes SOON the Klotsche will be the only viable venue to host our games. I think we all realize what could happen next. I love this program and want to see it succeed.

I just sit at games looking at Amanda and Mone and think "How can they actually think this is successful and a healthy program?" The sad thing is I am not totally convinced that they see this as an issue. Either way, I will still watch and will be going to games but it is becoming more and more exhausting.

By my count, the Panthers went 169-65 at home from 1999-2016, winning at a .722 clip. Over the last 2 1/2 years, we've gone 18-20, a winning percentage of .474.
