Yeah, we have come to that point, I think. I was once told that I was one of the top 25 donors to this program. That surprised me given what I donated. It certainly wasn't an inconsiderable amount (for me), but it suggested that we need to up our fundraising.
Since the purge I have withheld any donations, but I also haven't donated to any other program. But you know what? I have been a Badger fan most of my life too, and my daughter-in-law was just hired to the faculty at Marquette and my son will be attending graduate school there. The hell with UWM athletics. If this is how they intend to keep treating us, then message received. I think it's time to start donating to the Badger and Giggle basketball programs, and I'm going to do it "In honor of Amanda Braun."

I am not sure if this message is clear to some of us, so I am going to make it as plain as I can: - They (Braun and Mone) DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU THINK.
- They (Braun and Mone) NEVER CARED WHAT YOU THINK.
- They (Braun and Mone) did not care what a multi-millionaire mega donor thought.
- They (Braun and Mone) still don't care what he thinks.
- Why....WHY do you think they (Braun and Mone) will give your "emails" about "the glory days" and your "disappointment" a first thought, much less a second?
They (Braun and Mone) are from the academic world, thus they believe, in their core, that THEY ARE SMARTER (and therefore better) THAN ANYONE, especially all of us unwashed masses, non-graduate degree educated, blue collar, deplorables. We are beneath them, and always will be. Our opinion is irrelevant. Our existence is, at times, offensive to them. Braun will get her extension and her 5 years of salary locked in. Book it. Done and done. Mone will continue to be the Chancellor until he decides to leave or die. No one in academia EVER gets fired, especially from an insulated, self-serving, low profile school like UW-Milwaukee. Just move on. They don't care if you stay, so why would you stay where you are neither wanted or appreciated. I am now holding "open tryouts" for a new program to affiliate myself with....maybe Butler...maybe MU. But I will pick one that wants me in the fold, not one that looks down its nose at me. I can firmly say that your ranting and raving with a touch of homophobic commentary will not be missed around here. I'm sure schools will be lining up to have your fandom. BYE!

Lol. This is incredibly laughable from probably the most easily “triggered” person on here. Make sure to keep us in the loop regarding the schools lining up for your services. I have no doubt the line with be long.

What. The. Fu&#.
It was obvious when information came out that our AD was an embarrassing bully to a great man who put this program on his shoulders for nearly a decade.
If this doesn't cause change at the top, nothing will.
I respect BBFran and miss when he used to be able to post more interesting takes/opinions on here. For a long time, I thought his gloom and doom was a bit overstated. Boy, was I wrong...
How many times can you foul up a good thing? And yes, this. was. all. so. predictable. It is almost as if AD Braun is actively trying to dismantle Milwaukee Panther Men's Basketball. She makes Andy Geiger (advocated for move down to D-2/D-3) look like our #1 fan and greatest promoter.
Somebody. Please. Save MKE Panther Hoops. (echo, echoooo, echooooooooooooo....) :/

Very disappointed in the news. My 9 year old son and I are season ticket holders. The program was on the upswing, and the food, giveaways, etc. at home games were improving as well. Now I'm not sure if I want to keep season tickets. Definitely something fishy going on when your top 5 players leave, 2 years after your top 3 players leave. And we lost Dittmer and more recruits I hear.
(P.S. still sore about them adding a mandatory donation to the Panther Fund, for the premium season ticket seats. Almost doubling the cost. For this reason I had to downgrade seats. It's like they are trying to drop the attendance!)

The prices are great when you compare it to the rest of sporting events you can do in the city. I have to do some soul searching all this summer, so I don't rush to judgement. All else fails, the loge seats start at $75.

I'll stay out of the ranting for the moment to merely ask this: does it really matter where you buy your season tickets, fellas? We averaged perhaps 750 actual bodies per game (I attended half the home games and think that number is fair) and after Monday's news attendance is likely to shrink by at least 400 more. Hell, you could get seats on opposite sides of the arena and carry on meaningful conversation with each other. Maybe this IS what they want?

We don't need to beat the dead horse on attendance. I guess it matters in where you want to sit. I pay for the Center Court Black area. $240 x2 plus $100 Panther Fund Donation. I would not want someone who pays $10 bucks to get in, sit in row one of a section that some pay a higher amount for. If someone is going to move down, move where nobody might be around. Which can't be that hard, pains me to say it.

I wasn't kidding when I said they should GIVE AWAY the tickets for next season. If they don't we are going to go from pathetically bad attendance to INCOMPREHENSIBLY bad attendance! The LAST thing anyone should worry about is WHERE the exceedingly few remaining fans choose to sit during the games!
I can just imagine the sales pitch for next year: "Get your tickets now for Panther basketball! We might win the game! You know, if we're really lucky. And if we play a terrible opponent. And if they have a lot of injuries. Please -- just come. Please?"

If anything they should give a ton of tickets to Boys and Girls Club, schools and other youth groups. At least it would add some semblance of people and noise in the barn. Other wise it could be like an old apocalyptic movie like ON THE BEACH with Gregory Peck. Nuclear war happens and surviving group of people in a submarine. They hear morse code coming from Australia so they think maybe life has survived. They go to the source and it is a coca cola bottle with its neck stuck in the loop at the bottom of a shade bobbing up and down and hitting a telegraph key , no life ....showing my age here but that could be what the arena is like next year

Bluntly, we just set the clock back ANOTHER two years, in a BEST case scenario!! That's on top of the two we were already still going to have to suffer before we had any likelihood of even gettting back to an AVERAGE year under Jeter! When will the University get the picture!? Let me be very clear about the five most important things any competent AD at Milwaukee has to do: 1. Support the men's basketball program 2. Support the men's basketball program 3. Support the men's basketball program 4. Support the men's basketball program ... 5. Everything else Apparently our current AD read that as "Sabotage the men's basketball program!" Honestly, I think that she read it as "Support the WOMEN'S basketball program!"

Exactly the point I was trying to make also about Braun possibly having an inherent bias for whatever reason against men in favor4 of women.
