Badgers lead UCLA 38-31 at Half.
Its again spread out scoring for them.
Edit: Badgers lost 72-70
Happ 19 Iverson, Davison, Trice with 14.
This is what I mean when I say they spread it out.

The three point shot will be key. If we are not on from 3, there is very very little chance we will win.

I've watched the Badgers play Xavier and Baylor. I did not see tonight's game. It seems to me our guys should not have any fear going into the Kohl Center Friday night. This Badger team is not yet close to jelling. I'm glad we have them now, and not next month like usual. I believe there's a decent chance we leave with consecutive wins in Madison if the Ames Milwaukee Panthers show up. Here's to hoping Coach Baldwin's Northwestern experience helps him build a great game plan.

I appreciate your optimism, but I believe the Panthers would have had a much better chance if the Badgers had closed out the UCLA game with a win. I suspect Wisconsin will see Friday as an opportunity to take out some extreme frustration. And I would be very careful about even bringing Iowa State into the discussion. They are the worst P5 team I have seen play this year. As noted, UW hasn’t jelled yet, but by March they’ll probably be on their way to another Sweet 16 finish.
So we’ll see. I haven’t looked at the kenpom/sagarin numbers yet, but I’m guessing UW is the best team we play this year by 60 or 70 spots. Maybe more. Anything better than taking a double digit beating would be a decent result.

Iowa St won the Puerto Rico tip-off with wins over Tulsa and Boise St. Last weekend. By year end, that will be a good win for the Panthers.
And you quote kenpom but didn't look to see Iowa St is currently 61. But at least your eye test says they are the worst P5 team you have seen.
As for the game, I'm hoping for a competitive one. I'm preparing to get zero calls so it wouldn't shock me to see a double digit loss.

A quiet Kohl and an uneven Bucky would give the Panthers a puncher's chance. As it is, it will be the best gauge to date of where the team is at the moment and how good they can become, which is why it is a valuable game regardless of politics. I am reminded of the 2009 game, when the Panthers went to Kohl, lost by 10, and never looked noncompetitive. That year we won 20 games. Hoping for a similar result here.

I'm looking forward to this game tonight.
It may be unlikely but I wouldn't be stunned to see us grab the W.
Let's make it two in a row over Bucky!
