I know a few Panther fans will be making the trip.
This game all depends on who shows up. If it's the team who went to Ames, then yes, it should be a good solid game. Maybe we win. If it's the team that played this weekend we lose. Simple as that.
They shoot 34% on 3's thus far this season, lets hope it doesnt jump up to 50 in this game. 4 of their starters average double figure scoring thus far through 3 games.
Happ is the leading scorer but this team shares the ball, so team defense will be key.

Not sure how much stock one wants to put on rest. UW has Baylor tonight in Kansas City, then Creighton or UCLA on Tuesday.

Tickets are super cheap on StubHub if anyone is looking to go...you can get tickets for as low as 6 bucks in the upper bowl right now.

Watching this Baylor game you can see why. Panthers can win.

Baylor was running away, but Bucky reeled them in. I was feeling much more confident 20 minutes ago...

Baylor 70 Badgers 65
Happ had 23 and 13...going to be a big task containing him obviously, but no one else really did anything of note for Bucky.

I think you can get away with letting Happ get a double double. But if you allow that, then you need to stop everyone else.

Wisconsin is experiencing some growing pains -- which for them is defined as staying close but not beating a couple of the best teams in the country. They are clearly still putting it together. That gives the Panthers, a more experienced team, a chance to make a game of it. (By February the Badgers will look beastly. Their inexperience is limiting them now but great coaching and great talent tend to solve that eventually.)
On an individual level we obviously have no answer for Happ -- just like the rest of college basketball -- but if our guys play very, very disciplined basketball, and if the Badgers are still tired from KC, it could be interesting. A good test for where this program is at right now.
Of course, the worst possible thing that could happen would be if Pat Baldwin coaches his team to win a close one in Madison, then go on to a solid 20 win season. As we all know, that's grounds for immediate termination!

If Milwaukee finds a way to win this game on Friday then this team has the potential for a great year with a 5-1 start. If someone told me their only loos to date was vs. Concordia SP I would have laughed. Hopefully some Panther fans will make the trip.
