I'll add to this. Webster is a good coach. He was Bruce Webber's main guy at Illinois keeping that group together when they made their run and came up one game short of the National Championship. It's almost laughable to me that UWM hasn't hired him yet.

Has he interviewed for other head coaching positions? What's his style of play? What is laughable is to think this is a great hire when there is a lot about him I don't know outside of the fact he was s good PG for the Badgers 20 years ago and has never run a program.

In terms of Goodman's tweet, I think "picking up steam" meant his candidacy was taken to the next level - an in-person interview. We already knew this but Goodman's tweet is the first he's updated anything in two weeks. I don't see it him being a front-runner when Amanda's still interviewing others.

I didn't take picking up steam as the leading candidate either. I just really hope he's who we get. |

To my knowledge he has interviewed for other jobs in the past; however, he hasn't gotten them. He has not interviewed this year because apparently he really wants this job. He likes to get the ball up and down the court is what I saw when he was the interim coach at DePaul. He had ZERO talent there but he had those boys in almost every game at DePaul not to mention got them their first Big East win over a two year period prior to his arrival where they didn't win a game. |

Why do you like this candidate so much? Not only won the D2 championship this year but also won D2 coach of the year. Augustana was a directionless program and he made them a powerhouse including winning 65 games the past two years. Also has a win against Iowa in an exhibition game this season. Seem to play a more up-tempo offense averaging 90 ppg. |

Seeing as though Milwaukee is open, you'd have to wonder why he would take a coaching job if his predecessor just left to coach Wright State. |

SDSU seems to be in a more stable position and is closer to his current home. I would imagine Milwaukee could offer more money. |

He's also from outside of Rockford. Maybe he wants to be closer to family? I think it's safe to say we'll find out this week one way or another.
