Akeem Springs is just airing out all the dirty laundry and I love every second of it. I think I want to name my first son Akeem after reading this rant. Twitter Feed

Going OFF right now as it looks like there won't be a postseason tournament for the team, per AD decision.
etc.
There's a lot more where that came from.

Please don't forbid us from playing in the postseason.
That would be insane!
We've only had seven appearances in our HISTORY!

Now I am ripe for an expletive-filled rant. Unless she's making a change, this makes absolutely no sense.
Even then, it makes very little sense!
You're going to deprive Matt of the chance to pass A.T. in all-time rebounds and get into the top 10 in scoring?!? His career is over like this?!?
Jet will have no chance to get 300 assists?!?!
Why even have a Division 1 program??
This is bullsh*t!!!!

The end of UWM men's basketball. No recruit will sign here. No current player will ever have anything good to say. No coach will want to come here.
Akeem is pissed, I've heard other players are the same. Parents are up in arms.
Just as well be a NAIA program.
Unbelievable.

Hack has it exactly right.
I'm so mad right now that I'm shaking.
When they call me for a donation now, I will laugh in their faces!

Oh, that would make me very happy!
Now I'll let you guys in on a little secret about our intrepid leader:
After our inspirational effort at Notre Dame, where every usher at the Joyce Center congratulated ME for the team's fortitude, Amanda was nowhere to be found!
After our historic and equally inspirational victory in Madison where coaches, players, families and boosters alike embraced in a moving scene, Amanda was again nowhere to be found!
Does she even like basketball?
Which program will I now adopt after this cycle of players is gone?

Strikes me as a very odd person...this is brutal. Look at the financial bath we took with Klotsche renovation and Geiger's $200,000 salary. Then the bath of red ink the HLT must have been at the beautiful Joe Louis Arena in that garden spot Detroit....then the kids who stuck with the program despite the ban last year which had nothing to do with them...sad...they can find the money somewhere...

Sounds like a great idea...I will put my Bruce Pearl autographed photos on E Bay!!! I have to be one of the few people in these parts that has never been to Vegas. Closest I have gotten is watching Elvis in Viva Las Vegas movie.

Would $500 cover one player?

The only reason this desicion makes sense, is the coaching staff is let go.

The only reason this desicion makes sense, is the coaching staff is let go. But the big donors support Rob, so they're not going to underwrite a change. Knowing this regime, I'll give VERY good odds that the plan is to bring him back for one year without an extension and let the body bleed out. Irrespective of the coach, this is wrong for the players and wrong for our program! I'm not done with this thread!!!

Well, things are not adding up. Lower profile schools are signing up for the CIT right now.

The “Vegas 16” tournament will feature 16 teams in a single-elimination bracket, with all the games played at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The field will be picked on the night of March 13 (Selection Sunday) or the following day, but the teams and their fans would not head to Vegas that week. The new tournament will be held March 26-30.
“Teams will come out and have a great end-of-the-season trip in a destination location with fairly fixed costs,” said Brooks Downing, the president of Vegas 16 organizer bd Global. “This isn’t necessarily a consolation-prize event. This is, ‘Boys, we didn’t make the NCAA Tournament, … but guess where we’re going? We’re going to Vegas.’”
Downing said schools would pay bd Global a flat fee to cover their hotel, airfare and ground transportation costs. He said the fee, which would not vary no matter how long a team lasts in the tournament, will likely be in the $45,000 to $55,000 range. His firm has arranged hotel deals for the teams with four resorts on the Las Vegas Strip.
After the first round, the rest of the tournament is on CBSSN. Sounds like a neat thing for the Panthers. They could've used the MotorCity Madness money.
