Well, let me tell you something, funny boy. Y'know that little logo, the one that says "Milwaukee"? Well that may not mean anything to you, but that means a lot to me. One whole hell of a lot.
Sure, go ahead, laugh if you want to. I've seen your type before: Flashy, making the scene, flaunting convention. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. What's this guy making such a big stink about old basketball games? Well, let me give you a hint, junior. Maybe we can live without championships, people like you and me. Maybe.
Sure, we're too old to change the world, but what about that kid, sitting down, watching TV, right now, on a computer at his house and finding drawings of pee-pees and wee-wees on the coaches clipboard during timeouts? Doesn't HE deserve better?
Look. If you think this is about poor basketball and mediocrity, you'd better think again. This is about that kid's right to watch basketball without getting his mind warped! Or: maybe that turns you on, Jeter; maybe that's how y'get your kicks. You and your good-time buddies.
Well I got a flash for ya, joy-boy: Party time is over.

Wow this is painful. Just pathetic. The same old story...game after game.

This quote from the broadcast said it all: This game is starting to leave respectability behind That was said when Valpo had a 20 point lead. Now 72-50 with two minutes left. Respectability is gone. Makes you wonder how those in the university's administration gave the leader of this program another extension. Are you watching this debacle?

I've been following this game, the Marquette game and the Wisconsin game. No wonder no one cares about us in this state.

Kudos to whomever brought it in the big Bruce Pearl head. It was very conspicuous on the tv broadcast.

Definitely a low point for the program. We could go a really long time without another win. A really really long time. I first thought we'd go six league games without a win. I'd like to revise my estimate to 8. I've never seen things this bad before.

I had some hope for a win and maybe a few wins in the conference this season. Now I don't think we win a game in the conference season this year. Yes, I know we played Valparaiso who is full of seniors and is one of the best teams in the conference, but it's not like they played a great game either. They had sloppy moments and missed a few open shots. But it was easy to see they were better coached, more talented, had better leadership (does this team have a leader yet? Maybe Ryan Haggerty?), and simply wanted it more.
There was a moment in the second half where Milwaukee made 7 field goals all game and Valparaiso had blocked 7 shots. Milwaukee had as many blocked shots as made shots (I can't remember the exact time in the second half, but it was immediately before Panoske had a shot of his goaltended (if that's a word). Jordan Aaron is probably the biggest reason for that.
The one real bright spot in the game is that Panoske is looking like a decent player. He's still raw but I suppose he's a freshman and that's to be expected. He didn't score much but he played some decent defense and actually went after loose balls. I'm of the opinion we should start playing him (and Arians, for that matter) over Kelm and Haarsma. Kelm and Haarsma have added almost nothing to this team this year. They showed all sorts of promise last year but look simply outmatched in every game they have played this year.
This was yet another embarrassing game and I'm getting really really sick of those.

You can find Milwaukee +12 at some shops. At this point, the league without Butler is not very good. No team should be double digit road favorites ever. However we stink so who knows. Nope, just us: realtimerpi.com/rpi_horiz_Men.html12th in the RPI. Us and GB are the only teams outside of the top 200. Of course, we weren't picked third either.

I put a small wager on us to cover. I don't feel too confident. Thank god it was a SMALL wager. This team is a flat-out joke.

Losing is one thing, but there is just no fight in this team.
