Valpo center Kevin Van Wijk's father Ollie was a childhood friend of Dr. Martin Van Nostrand, the noted Juilliard-trained dermatologist.

Freckles that cover ten men!" -Dr. Martin Van Nostrand Not predicting a score, only that we cover the spread.

I believe Dr. Van Nostren is a distant cousin of AG Pennypacker, a wealthy American industrialist.

My son wants to go to the game, so we will be there. My son has guaranteed a Panther win.

One of these days this team is going to surprise us all and win a conference game. Who knows, maybe Saturday will be the day

They're in desperate need of a home win at this point. Something's got to give at this point.

I'm probably just thinking crazy at this point, but so far in conference season, Milwaukee has played close for a half against Detroit and within 2 points against Wright State. So far, these are the only two undefeated teams in the conference and they are arguably the hottest. Perhaps the Panthers are playing better in the conference right now than they did in that extremely pitiful non-conference season. I'm not saying we're going to even get close to a .500 conference season, but I'm thinking a few wins isn't out of the question.
I will say, however, that when I show a little bit of unwarranted optimism, my team usually follows it up with a blowout loss. Hopefully that doesn't happen this time.

We're a 10.5-point home dog ... to a conference team not named Butler.
