84 - 50. Holy crap do we suck. Haven't been to a game yet. Probably won't. Sounds like a common bandwagon fan. Has as much passion and pride in the program as the team and Athletic Department: None. It's about more than just watching a winning team. It's about supporting the Panthers. Yes, they're awful right now, but there real fans are the ones who are there no matter what. They're the ones who have the right to vent on here, not you. It's ok, I'm sure you'll be trying to catch the bandwagon when the team starts winning, whether it's this year or some other year. Be careful. There are some on this board who have been fans of the program for far longer than you and have been burned out over the years by either the regime or the performance.

Definitely sounds like a typical bandwagon fan. Only a measley 1,596 posts.

Is this a joke? First of all, spare us with the bandwagon b.s. Several posters here have been following this team for a very long time. Secondly, I'm 100% with him. I'm not driving five hours to watch this team play. If you don't like that, too bad.

You're right, and I'm being unfair with that remark, but that statement, while it comes out as a directed post, is more directed at the fact that the Athletic Department does not care about the fans and that if we don't stick around, there will be nobody left. I know that this season has been hard, and I'm just as tired and worn out from the regime and performance as the next person, but it's up to the fans to take pride in the Milwaukee name now, because it's evident this team doesn't. Attendance already dropped off by more than 50% from Wednesday to Friday. As frustrating as everything is with this team, AD, coaching staff, etc., we can't let the basketball attendance fall to Volleyball proportions. And if it's too hard to watch the men's team, there is a women's team that is actually worth watching and they're still Panthers.

I apologize for the bandwagon remark. It was unfair.

Fair enough, but the posters on this board aren't the problem, and never have been. The problem has always been the general public's apathy towards the program (as well as the students). If members on this board have become apathetic, you know there's a huge problem. I love this program, and hated to give up my season tickets. But I did it because it just wasn't feasible to make it to that many games anymore. But at this point in the season, I'm just too busy to justify taking up my entire Saturday to watch this brand of Panther basketball. If I lived in Milwaukee still, I'm sure it'd be different.

I apologize for the bandwagon remark. It was unfair. I don't think anyone's going to hold it against you. There have definitely been stronger things said on this board.

If members on this board have become apathetic, you know there's a huge problem. DING DING DING!!! We have a winner. THIS is why we all should be very concerned about the current state of Panther Basketball and athletics at this university in general. We are slipping very, very close to the tipping point of complete irrelevancy. And once we pass that point, it is going to be awfully difficult to get the pendulum to swing back. And that, in my humble opinion, is a true tragedy as it impacts the school, the city, and the region in ways far beyond just wins and losses on the basketball court.

8. Pearl and his staff left the cupboard too bare on potential recruits.

For the record I think its hard to consider anyone who spends time on this board a bandwagon fan. Its not like we have thousands of posters here.
From my time here on the board most posters are very passionate about the team and the program. Its just a very frustrating time right now.
