Paris and Demetrius are the only ones who consistently play with urgency. Jordan is a sloppy show-off, Bobo is a selfish quick-shot, Evan might never develop at this point, and Kelm & Haarsma have simply disappeared.

No big deal. Just getting boat-raced by a 2-7 team at home. I'm sure this won't impact student support or fundraising efforts in the least.

I really want to care still but I just find it harder and harder to find the time. I dont know if this is the most talented team Jeter has assembled but right now they are playing the worst basketball any of his teams ever have. Cant wait for the January run that seems to happen every year to get people excited only to have the team fall apart at the end of the year like always.

Can the program recover? We have three more years of depressing basketball to watch.

What's remarkable is that we have such an apathetic fanbase that they can't even work up the energy to boo

I had a work conflict tonight that made me miss the game. To be clear... in years past, I would have made sure, despite the conflict, to somehow attend the game. But there was no urgency to watch a team that has clearly given up --- in a low-major, high school facility.
Losing to a lousy team by a significant margin at home, pretty embarrassing. This program is bottoming out, and anyone suggesting the coaching situation is the least of our problems, clearly has their head firmly planted in the sand. Let's tick off just a few reasons:
1. Recruiting has sucked 2. Players rarely develop 3. Can't win a big game (or even an easy game)
I've been a diehard, apologist fan for a long time. And now I'm finding it hard to sell myself on attending another game.

Oh, and it's a final. Lost by 20, at home, to a bottom-feeder MAC school. Hoorah!

UIC beat Northwestern in their building. UIC is better than us.

We are the bottom feeder of a low major conference.

Before you beat yourself up UB is not a bottom feeder, don't let our record fool you this is a rebuilding but Talented team. We have three consecutive 20 win seasons (not going to happen this year) and have the best player in the MAC (one of the top 100 or so mid major players in the nation) and a transfer from Virginia. But yea, 20 at home to any team not in the top 25 hurts a whole lot..

The deal with these guys is they are simply not good. The X’s and O’s don’t win games but the Jim’s and Joe’s do. And unfortunately our Jim’s and Joe’s are not very talented. The team is comprised of a shoot first point guard (Jordan Aaron) who’s turnover prone and he’s surrounded by a bunch role players (rest of the roster) who’s talent would be best described as average to poor. Furthermore, the roster is riddled with one dimensional offensive players who posses limited abilities. As a result we’ve got a basketball team which is 1-6 verse NCAA Division 1 competition thus far in the season. The team still has to play at Wisconsin, at DePaul, and at Fairfield before the conference portion of the schedule starts.

I'm sure we'll be subjected to the usual excuse-making: players nervous about finals, bad officiating, some guy no one has heard of before having a career night, team still devastated that Ellen Degeneres didn't show up at Walgreens, etc.
