Thought this article is apropo to the topic at hand: Seeking Stability, Contract Extensions For Coaches Can Be Expensive Errorwww.cbssports.com/collegefootball/story/21159156/seeking-stability-contract-extensions-for-coaches-can-be-expensive-errorExcerpts from the article: - “That's why Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne says length of the contract and guaranteed percentage of the buyout are important to consider.
Generally, a four- or five-year contract can satisfy all parties involved without the school overextending itself, Byrne said. Seven or eight years can be dangerous, depending on how it's structured.”
- "Buyout money might pale in comparison to a coach losing the program -- and losing fans in the seats as a result.
Then, the school has no choice but to lose money to make a change.
"They'll get somebody else," Spurrier said. "[Boosters] can't fundraise if you have a coach nobody believes in."

The AD needs to put the heat on Jeter and start expecting more right now. Kind of hard to put heat on a coach when the AD's around here only last approx. 9 months each...

Hopefully the ship gets righted. The Davidson game was an indication of hope and potential. On the other hand after the last three games this season also has all the potential of a total train wreck. But hey, we have that new up tempo style!! How is that working for everybody???
