I'll repeat some of the comments I made after the Detroit loss on Friday........
I really thought this season had the chance to be special. Injuries, inconsistencies on offense, sloppy play, and at times....poor free throw shooting helped create a medicore season.
I'm glad we reshirted Lonie, Ja'Rob, and JJ.
I've got a big crowd from my school coming down on Saturday for the Rising Stars game. I hope like hell we play better

I guess its Jeters fault that Doctors in MKE screwed up Jarobs surgery or that lonnie got hurt or that evens back game out or that Kaylons knee is hurt. Maybe its Jeters fault that Disney got the arena or that we don't have a gym or a practice facility. Hell your right i blame jeter for the womens soccer coach leaving he screwed up with that one. Trolls is right some of you guys really make me mad. No one cares about our team its all about Jeter bash

Surprised it took this long.

I appreciate that Jeter cleaned up the program and Jeter has laid a nice foundation for the program. I think it’s time to move forward with a new coaching staff in here to take the program to a better level, not one marred with mediocrity and excuses.

Usually its during the non-conference season with fans wondering why we take early games lightly. Having a late season meltdown is pretty rare for the Jeter Era. Winning late in the season always gives us false hopes for the next year.

Since, I acted like a jerk after the home YSU loss, I really can't blame people for any of their absurd comments. BUT: Jeter should NOT be fired. IF they lose the rest of their games I may change my mind. BUT there are more coaches incorrectly fired than coaches who are incorrectly retained. How many years did it take Seton Hall to get back to the level that Louis Orr had them at. Has ANY coach at IA , since Tom Davis was let go, equaled Davis's Success. We are 15-12 with at least 5 games to go. Let's play those games and see where we stand.

Also, a comment was made about the games not being fun to go to. I've been to 11 games and enjoyed myself at every one.

Fire Jeter already, it is pretty obvious he is outta his league. Maybe the Good Sisters of The Poor will hire him. I for one have had it... You had it a long time ago. Come back when you can add something.

Haven't done enough research as to whom is available or who will be availabe at the end of this season. I reserve comment at this time... I'm sure we'll all be waiting on tenterhooks...

Jeter isn't getting fired. Not that Keno Davis wouldn't be an enormous upgrade featuring a style of basketball much more entertaining than what we're being subjected to this year. I don't know what is in store for the program at the end of this season, but this much I do know. If Jeter is the head coach next season, the style of play will be a lot different. Jordan Aaron running the point is significantly different than Kaylon Williams. Only Paris Gulley can tell you what the difference is exactly, but Jordan Aaron is a point guard that runs a "Run-and-Gun" type offense. I'm told to expect the defense to fall off a bit with Allen and Williams graduating, but expect the offense to pick up - Aaron doesn't wait around.

Bring in Steve Forbes & Jason Shay as a package deal. Forbes & Shay are coaching NW Florida State College and if Forbes has success here he can leave for a big 6 program and Shay can be the head coach in waiting. All those 2 have done this year is go 22-1 so far. Cool! Now we're talking! Seriously, people, now we're going to bring the NCAA dogs sniffing around? I know you're all in love with Bruce - he's the guy that took this program places - but I think you all have a selective memory and forget that he and his staff did a whole bunch of winning and got booted out of Tennessee. Then you have a show-cause slapped on Bruce? Last August, a Show-Cause was slapped on all the coaches - three years for Bruce and one year apiece for the assistants. Which means if you hire any of the former Vol assistants before August 26th, you have to show cause. So, not only do you fire Jeter and his staff, but now you have to put Rick Costello in front of the NCAA to plead the case to hire these guys?

I am almost positive that the Whitewater coach would be available if we are ever in need of a new head coach......

It should be noted that last year's Panther team lost at the Nutter by 24.
Right now, I think you give Cleveland State your best shot, then shut down Kaylon Williams, Ryan Allen, James Haarsma and Kyle Kelm until at least Monday. That gives them five full days of rest to heal.
I just don't see how anyone can watch Friday night's game and not realize how banged up this team is. Kaylon's limping around the court because the tendonitis is so bad. Ryan Allen can't elevate like normal or keep up with opposing guards as well as before because his legs are tired (and one has a nagging injury). Haarsma...I just don't know where his head is. And Kyle Kelm's shoulder may be better, but he's got a stress fracture that could use the time off.
Personally, I'm miffed at the training staff that let Ja'Rob McCallum come back before he was 100% in the offseason, causing him to screw up his wrist again. I'm annoyed that they kept saying Lonnie Boga wouldn't need surgery, wouldn't need surgery, then holy crap, surgery. If the medical staff had diagnosed either injury properly, we'd have both of them right now.
What does that mean? In Ja'Rob, you get CONSISTENT shooting. He scored 10 points per game because you can always count on him to get at least close to that. If we had Lonnie Boga, Ryan Allen wouldn't have needed to be on the court as much as he has this season.
Healthy bodies mean a better team. Obviously this team was a lot better on January 12th than it is February 12th. Why do you think that is? Because you're not looking at the same team.
