Keep dreaming folks. Jeter is the coach until his contract is over. I am not sure how many years are left, but nothing will change until then.
Usually we're not a good team under Jeter, but we're also not terrible. The program wont sink or swim. Just an average program. Some years will be NIT quality, while others will be below 10 wins.

Remember the days of athletic players that could score, full court pressure, fast paced games, and most importantly a lot of wins?
I know it seems like it never happened, but once upon a time we actually were the quicker, more athletic, and tougher team than all the others in the Horizon League. Now we’re getting run out of the gym by the likes of Youngstown and Wright State.

I’m praying to the high heavens that Jeter has an enlightening, ah-ha, moment where he finally realizes that life’s better when he’s sitting next to Bo on his bench.

Keno Davis is a massive roll of the dice. Providence ended his contract five years early, and we're going to pick him up from the rubble?

I personally am a fan favorite of an up tempo game with some hardcore D or a press once and a while. Unfortunately the team we have does not fit the style of play being taught. There has to be an adjustment when you see the players not responding or have the inability to play a certain style. You can't keep beating a dead horse

His paycheck will keep him on the Panthers bench for at least a few more years.
By the way, Miami is 15-8 (6-4 in the ACC) this season with a victory at Cameron Indoor a couple weeks ago.

Just for discussion how about Bob Hoffman outta Mercer Atlantic Sun Conference. Hoffman's overall record as a head coach at the collegiate level is 400-171.

I love the D I've seen at times this year. Stifling and mistake-inducing. I think people are downplaying that we were never at 100% (were we?) this year. Between the nagging small injuries and the large season-ending ones, we never got the chance to see what this group was really capable of. Losing Meier, Kaylon and Allen is concerning, but I've constantly looked at the players we were losing in a given year and felt that way.

Depending on the specifics of Jeter's contract, he might be worth a look. It does concern me that his most impressive success was in the A-Sun, but worth a potential look.

Keno Davis is a massive roll of the dice. Providence ended his contract five years early, and we're going to pick him up from the rubble? Comparing the Milwaukee job to the Providence job, is like comparing apples to the oranges. Milwaukee is positioned in the Horizon League much differently than Providence is in the Big East. Providence College is arguably the toughest job in the Big East. Providence College is a small liberal arts college with a 2010–2011 enrollment of 3,850 undergraduate students and 735 graduate students. Providence has to compete against the likes of Connecticut, Syracuse, Louisville, Georgetown, Villanova, Pitt, Notre Dame, and etc.. Look at Gene Chizik. He was a previous assistant at Aurburn and knew the area very well before he got hired as their head football coach. He was 5-19 at Iowa State as their head coach right before Auburn hired him, and let’s just say it was quite an unpopular move. Charles Barkley, an Auburn alum, was shouting from the rooftops in disgust. But a couple years after he got hired, he led Aurburn to a national title. It seems like he’s a tremendous fit at Auburn, atleast his national title ring says he’s a great fit at Auburn. It’s all about the right fit!

Bring in Steve Forbes & Jason Shay as a package deal. Forbes & Shay are coaching NW Florida State College and if Forbes has success here he can leave for a big 6 program and Shay can be the head coach in waiting. All those 2 have done this year is go 22-1 so far.

He also inherited a pretty decent team from his predecessor.

Keno Davis is a massive roll of the dice. Providence ended his contract five years early, and we're going to pick him up from the rubble? Also, we don’t know the backroom politics involved in the whole situation of Keno getting let go only after his third year at Providence. Keno’s successor was Ed Cooley, who was born and raised in Providence, and was previously the head coach at Fairfield, in Connecticut. Keno’s a Midwest guy. He went to college in the Midwest, at the University of Iowa. He also was an assistant coach at Iowa, Southern Indiana, Southeast Missouri State, and Drake before becoming the head coach at Drake, where he won the 2008 Associated Press College Basketball Coach of the Year.

I am just as upset about this lose as the rest but you guys are out of your mind with some of the comments you are making. First of Forbes? The guy that got fired for stealing Finacial Aid checks before pearl hired him and then was banned from the NCAA for cheating. He is 22-1 this year but if we wanna go cheap the way were talking we can just hire the guy that was here last year as a GA his team is 21-3 after winning 9 games year before. Its crazy talk people we have had injuries and we have lost some tough games we lost some games we shouldn't have but geez people the issue here is people are pissed because Jeter makes more then most will make in there life even thou the milwaukee staff makes less then most other staffs in the league. We also don't have our own arena or practice facility. And wait we started on this skid when the kids found out Disney will have the arena you think that has something to do with it.Maybe its not Jeter but the idiot we hired as AD following another idiot. So yes we are on a skid and Jeter is the easiest target but if we look at what the staff is working with they are doing a great job. Did we lose a tough game yes should we have won YES but you don't have your starting SG from last year and your PG is avg. 30 + min also we lost an ALL league guy who is MVP of his league in Europe so yea we are not the same team we were last year or the team we started the year with
