So disappointed in this team. I had high hopes for the season and thats now all shot out the window unless they somehow with the HLT.
I have always liked Jeter but I think that is about done with. I don't care for him now after the piss poor effort I have seen in the past few games. When you are in 1st place after a good chunk of conference games you should not come out and lose 4 out of 5 with an effort like that. I saw nothing from this team tonight until their was about 5 minutes left in the game.
My dream was to make the tournament just once while I was a student here but I can see that likely won't happen this year or next year. Last year was that chance and we came out flat and got embarrassed.
Sorry for the rant but I am very frustrated right now. Jeter can stay or go it doesn't matter to me. All I know is something has to change if we can't win the HL in a down year like this one when we were actually playing well up until a couple weeks ago.

I think all of you Turkeys, out there, are equally responsible for this collapse. IF he had job offers from Bradley, Dayton and Penn State he SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THEM, and left Bidz in Charge. OK, raise your hands out there who wanted him to stay and said this was the year. Jeter would not be the first Mid major coach to stay when he had an opportunity to leave and made a mistake in staying. Fire Jeter and Bring back Bidz!!!

That was painful to watch. I think that they need to sit Ryan Allen down for a while and let him get healthy. I know he's a warrior and wants to be out there playing, but he's not helping the team. He can't do much offensively, and I haven't seen sky high for a rebound in a couple games. Our best chance to win the Horizon League tournament will be with him 100%, not 60%

This EXACTLY how I feel right now, word for word.
And EVERYONE on that team is at fault, including Kaylon(Brain Fart), Gulley, Kelm, Haarshma, as well as that coaching staff...

DunneDeal: Why would ANYONE want to buy a ticket to YSU and pay Parking downtown, when they could watch Michigan State - Illini for free. At least I wasn't as stupid anyone who went to the game.

I tend to side with what AT said in the post game.
This one is on the players. The players have to look at themselves and right the ship from here on out.

No excuse for that kind of sloppy play. They do need to have a HUGE team meeting to discuss how they want to play this last month of the season, if they want to finish it off with a high note.

Even after this debacle of a game, I am still not giving up on the season. I know we are not in a very favorable position now, but I honestly believe that we can still win the league(HL Tourney) if we play at our best on offense and defense. This game made me as mad as anyone else on this board, but that is no excuse to give up. There are still plenty of games left to make something happen and hopefully be playing our best going into the HL Tourney. I'll be heading up to Green Bay to see us hopefully break the streak there and start the ball rolling towards the Tourney.

After some thought I have come to the conclusion that Jeter's style doesn't work. We need a change in style or a change in coach.
My biggest concern however is that Costello will not make a move, which to me is a huge red flag. Forget money, a change needs to be made.
On one hand we have a nationally ranked women's soccer team and instead of keeping the assistant coach, or hiring an assistant from a proven D1 program we settle for a coach from WW. On the other hand, we have a coach of a basketball program that is struggling, with no sign of improvement. If Costello keeps Jeter around the little faith I have remaining in the athletics program is completely gone.

This is apathy at its highest...why do I pay for season tickets and parking. Cause I love watching the Panther play..that why we do it. Did I go to Michigan St or Illinois..no. Thats not stupidity its support for a program you grew up watching cause your family went to UWM and took you to games. It's support for a school you went to and graduated from. Thats why at least I buy tickets, pay for parking, pay for food at Majors and watch the Panthers play. If you would rather watch Michigan St and Illinois so be it, leave this D-Board, go find their boards and b**** about their teams.

History suggests a coach won't get fired just a year after winning the regular season conference title. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with you. Just saying you shouldn't get your hopes up because it's flat out not going to happen...
