Lose this game, and the person who decided to take the guaranteed dollars from Disney on Ice is starting to look like a damn genius. To even sniff at the #1 seed we have to win out. Get it started against YSU. Of course YSU has one of their worst performances of the season against CSU so they will probably shoot the lights out on Tuesday. Maybe we are due for a Detroit type of offensive performance on Tuesday.
If there are mismatches with Meier, get him the ball. YSU is small, Kelm and Haarsma have the skills to eat up YSU in the paint, we need both to get it done.

"So, Rob Jeter's crew blew an 11-point lead against Valpo and fell to 14-9. When is the collegeinsider.com tournament selection show anyway?" -- Mike Hart, Journal Sentinel.
Face it, we very likely won't gain the No. 1 seed or host the Horizon League tournament this season. What I'd like to see the Panthers do the rest of the way is focus on running a more wide-open offense.

While I agree that it's almost impossible for us to get the #1 seed, regardless of that, we need to get on a roll and play better or no matter what seeding we get, we will be out quick. Against Butler we had good 'D' almost an OK offense and the standard free throw issue. Does anyone think it's possible for us to shoot free throw's this bad for an entire season? That may actually be possible!!! Butler made the mistake of not forcing is to make FT's soon enough. We are so bad at FT's. It sort of the one constant we have this year and it will certainly be the death of us as we wind out the year unless it's fixed.

Does anyone think it's possible for us to shoot free (throws) this bad for an entire season? Given that the season is more than two-thirds over, yes. In fact, it's highly unlikely that this will become an average (67 percent) free-throw shooting team the rest of the way.

Obviously this is a HUGE game for us. We go on the road for 3 straight and none of those games will be easy wins. Please stop Blake Allen and give Kyle Kelm the ball more and I think we can definetely take this one. Hoping for a big student crowd and not only that, but one where people behind me and the first 2 rows chant.
Go Milwaukee!

If the 1 seed as you all seem to say is out of reach at least get the 2. We wont host, but that double bye still looks good.

When Kyle Kelm gets the ball on the block, he has to finish his doggone moves. There were at least two times Saturday against Valpo when he deferred and flipped the ball out to the perimeter.

You can bet YSU is going to bring it. They have nothing to loose as no one expected them to be where they are.
Our boys need to treat this game like the season depends upon it, which it kind of does. Well... that is unless they are content with a 5 or 6 seed in the tourney.
Hell, forget about the #1 seed, a loss in this one may just be the game we look back at as knocking us out of a home HL Tourney game.

I like the U-dubb crew for sure on this game and I would hate to be YSU on the recieving end. I guarantee a Panther W! Nuff said. Relax Panther fans, I pretty sure the coaching staff and especially the players know these games mean alot.
Also, I can't help but disagree that 1st place is out of hand. We play Cleveland St. again and they play Valpo as well again. If we play our cards right, the league is still up for grabs. Whether you want to hear it or not, the truth hurts.

After tonight, we have six remaining league games. Only one of those is at home.
Only two losses separates 3rd place from 8th place right now.
Nothing is completely out of reach yet. But I would say we are closer to not having a home HL Tourney game than we are at earning the #1 seed.

Cleveland State's remaining league schedule:
at Loyola at UIC vs. Valparaiso vs. Butler at Milwaukee at Green Bay vs. Detroit vs. Wright State
Where do any of you see three losses?

St., Butler etc. They all have to play each other again as well.
