Been talking about this with several Panther fans...What do YOU think?

Both are great but the one in 09 was one of the crazier ones I have ever seen.
I had all but given up on that game but as Bill Johnson said, we absolutely stole one with that shot!

fine, i'll go against the grain...
the circumstances in the UIC game were worse...they were a worse team, and our chances of winning were worse...plus, the ramifications were pretty much lose and any chances of making anything of that season were over...but in a lot of ways, yesterday was pretty comparable...lose and we're at risk of a tailspin
the rivalry comparison is an interesting one for me...while the uic rivalry was heated during the pearl era, i came to Milwaukee 2 years after he left and UIC was pretty irrelevant for my whole tenure at uwm.
GB has been pretty comparable to us, and having pmck as their coach made me love watching them lose, but wardle seems like a good guy so i haven't had as much animosity toward them lately...hell, i even found myself rooting for them last year (it was to give us a better shot at the HL crown, but still)
and then that salute happened, and all that hatred for GB was back
for me the salutes took yesterday over the top...Sikes is the bad guy i'll love to hate for the next 3 years, and kaylon threw a giant F-U at green bay that probably won't be forgotten anytime soon

Clay Tucker laughs at this thread. Only a few of us were watching Fox Sports when Clay hit that 30 footer at Butler. These guys obviously didn't watch that game.

Clay Tucker laughs at this thread. It's not like anyone is saying these two buzzer-beaters are the best in program history, just which one of the last two is better. Besides these two and the Clay Tucker one vs. Butler, are there any other buzzer beaters to win a game instead of losing in the post-1990 era that people remember?

Last night's shot was weird, in terms that Kaylon missed bad with 1.1 left. The crowd was sitting and not making any noise. I think everyone was thinking, damm were going to lose a home game versus GB.
UIC missing all those free-throws and the Panthers coming back from 12 points down with less than 2 minutes to play was priceless!

I remember Thorton hitting a 3 with less than a second to go but I don't remember who it was against. The three won us the game.

Clay Tucker laughs at this thread. This. This was the season before my first semester at UWM, and needed to see what all the fuss was about. Incredible game.

Clay Tucker. Hands down.
Bulldogs were ranked No. 25 in the country.
First-ever win at Hinkle after, I believe, 100 losses.

I remember Thorton hitting a 3 with less than a second to go but I don't remember who it was against. The three won us the game. That one was against Detroit from the right corner. I think that one took us to overtime, which we did win. Also Paige Paulsen, hit one a couple of feet from the center circle to beat Detroit in '08 or '09.

Clay Tucker's buzzer against Butler. No question. It was a landmark event for the program. With that shot we had arrived as a legitimate threat to the conference.
Tucker is the greatest panther, who hit the greatest shots, who brought us our first tournament glory, and made people care about UWM basketball.
We may not be online talking about UWM sports without Clay.
There isn't anything to debate.
