They were just comparing the two recent buzzer beaters.
Everyone would agree that Tucker's is the best, hands down.

Indeed, I wasn't here when Clay hit his shot; I was comparing the two shots I had the pleasure of seeing.
Personally, I have to go with Deion James' shot. By all reason, we should not have won that game, which makes that shot all that more memorable.

In terms of importance, Kaylon's shot wins over Deion's hands down.
If Kaylon doesn't go 2 for 2 with the game on the line against GB and Valpo, the Panthers at the moment are sitting at 9-8 overall, 2-3 in the league and seventh place in the standings.

One other thing: Clay shot 54 of 187 (28.9 percent) from 3-point range as a senior.
Hack, FTA, McDade, 97, Fran, Lou and the rest: is there anyone at the time you would have rather had taking the game-deciding shot?

I have to go with Clay, and not just on a 3-pointer, but any final possession. His ability to create space and rise above for his jumper is something we haven't seen since. He just had a knack for putting the ball in the hoop when we needed it. He's my pick. Kaylon is in the top 5 historically, but Clay is on top, IMHO.

If you needed someone to create the shot you'd have to say Clay, but off a screen honestly I'd think about Ricky Franklin, and off a catch and shoot -- hands down -- James Eayrs. Both of those guys hit huge, last second, game tying threes for us.

I had actually left for the bathroom with the intention of leaving the arena afterward during the UIC game b/c I was so disgusted with the game. I came out of the bathroom and saw that it turned into a 1 or 2 point game, so I went back into the arena and was able to witness Deion's shot. Unreal!
Kaylon's shot on Saturday night was a classic case of, "Oh no...not Williams for the last shot! Oh yeah!!! Great shot!"

Kaylon's shot on Saturday night was a classic case of, "Oh no...not Williams for the last shot! Oh yeah!!! Great shot!" Where is this coming from? Who on the team would you prefer to take the shot? Tony Meier? James Haarsma? Evan Richard? Shaq Boga?

Both of those guys hit huge, last second, game tying threes for us. Without question, Ricky was the guy I would have counted on to tie or win the game on the last shot. Speaking of the Deion James shot, I think I recalled James saying that he was planning to set up a screen for Ricky to make the shot when Ricky suddenly passed him the ball.

And I think Kaylon is absolutely in the same category. Remember the shot he hit last year to tie Detroit on New Year's Day? Remember the shot he hit for Evansville to beat Drake?

James by far was the best buzzer better to me, because all I could remember was the casual fans leaving the arena and eventually coming back little by little, because the team was making a comeback due to UIC's lack of free throw making(weird). Which drew the team closer for D James crazy buzzer beater!

The thing about Deion's buzzer beater was the fact that it came after being down huge..and after one Kris Harris (btw I will never forget his name) went 0-6 at the line down the stretch and if you watch the video..he goes to take number 6 shaking is head, like why oh why am i at the line.

First game of the modern era: Panthers @ Central Michigan November 1999. 4.2 seconds left. Down 2. Kalumbo Kadima with the baseline inbound to Clay Tucker. Clay dribbles up the right wing, jacks a three from the right elbow. IT"S GOOD!!! Bo Ryan's starts his tenure at Milwaukee with a road win on a buzzer beater

I knew I was forgetting one from that era. Welcome to Panthers basketball, Bill Johnson. It was his first game calling the games as well, IIRC. Clay Tucker's first game as well. 24 points. Not too shabby.
