If we can do the "Chicago Sweep", I'll be all giddy come Saturday night. One game at a time. Go Panthers!!

It'd be nice to see the Panthers unload on a conference rival at home.

Let's expel some demons this week. Demons? Maybe you're thinking of DePaul? We already took care of any "demons" from losing to Loyola at home last year when we beat them on their court in our stretch run. This is a week to apply some of the toughness the two game road trip hopefully instilled in our guys against a couple lower echelon H League teams at home. It's a golden opportunity to start our title defense with two wins. Ken Pomeroy gives us 82% and 94% chances to win the upcoming two games, and I think that's merited.

I want to get to main conference play with our only 3 losses coming to Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Marquette -- if even that. Let's expel the demon of the sluggish start.

Kenpom gives us 9% chances to beat UW or MU. Also merited.
Let's get Tony back and see how that changes us.

Going into main conference play with only 3 losses would be great. After a solid conference season we could easily be looking at 22-25 wins. I think Northern Iowa is one that could still trip us but lets hope we make it though that game unscathed.

Will Tony be back? I recall reading that Dec 1st was his target date for returning.

"Just win, baby."
However...
Loyola is one of the 2 or 3 worst teams in our conference. "Just winning" this one, isn't good enough. Make a statement to the rest of the league and pound Loyola.
I hope we see a thorough beating administered by our Panthers in this one.

Well, Loyola has beaten us in our house the last two years.
So a win -- any win, baby -- would be a significant improvement.

I'd like to think that we would step on Loyola's throats. However, I also thought we'd step on NIU's throats and SMSU's throats.
Win first. Then worry about the margin.

A thing to keep in mind: if Meier plays against Loyola it'll be in a limited capacity, and there might be some rough patches reintegrating him into a lineup that's found a groove without him.
