I'm sorry, I can't get over the fact 5-25 from 3 & 6-13 from the foul line. In the past versus this type of team, it would result in a 26 point loss. Only to lose by 13 with the turnovers and fouls. What could"ve been if they made some shots.

The "what if" factor troubles me as well. Oh well. Move on to the next game I guess.

Tough Road Game...we played our game in the first half..they came out gang-busters to start the second and we got impatient, and that caused us this game.
Yeah, it may be a moral victory, but I know these guys and coaches dont want moral victories anymore they want to win!

I remember when Northwestern's football motto was "Expect Victory." Didn't do them much good. Talent and execution are, oh, about 100 times more important than pop psychology jingles. Gary Barnett is/was a master motivator. "Expect Victory" was genius. Taking the Purple to Pasadena is a great read.

Another horrible way to open the second half. I can only pin that on the coaches. Following halftime, adjustments must be made. The most consistent thing about this team is that we are outplayed immediately following the half. A well played first half, but unfortunately we still lost by double digits. I'm with Lou on this 100%. I'm sick and tired of these games being losses. Eventually we must come out ahead in one of these.

This game will definitely help us build as we go towards and into the conference season. Our defense looks really good, we just got outsized and didn't have barely any post game, thus all of the 3 pointers that we took. That is the one thing that troubles me as we go forward in the season. What if we aren't making our 3's? I like James down low, but his lack of size may definitely be a problem against bigger teams and Kelm will hopefully develop a better post game.
I really like how we competed and now we can build on some of the things we did well this game and work on what we didn't do so well. Already looking forward to the UALR game on Saturday and next week when we start the conference season at the Cell. Go Panthers!

The end result is bad 95% of the time a team shoots 20+ three-pointers.

I didn't see the game, so I won't comment on the inordinately high number of fouls (28) called on a team that has averaged only 16 (3 offensive) so far this season, but I did want to share this with all of you:
Chad Boudreau after the game: "We didn't play real well, Bill, especially at the start of the second half. We don't get into moral victories or anything like that here. We expected to win, as we do every game."

By the way, on Nov. 23, 2004, Michigan State defeated Green Bay 104-46, prompting a famous former coach -- standing at Turner Hall -- to say: "They've screwed up the league's RPI for the entire season!"
Good continuing lesson for our guys is that it all starts at the defensive end. Defense will always give you a chance, even when you can't hit the broad side of a barn with your shot.

"I'll be shocked if they're not competing for that championship in the Horizon League," Spartans coach Tom Izzo said of the Panthers.
Believe.

From jsonline.com (my favorite forum):
"Typical Milwaukee performance. The coaching staff (schedules) cupcakes to boost their ... egos. This will only be a mediocre team until they replace Rob Jeter. What a waste of time going to this game."
Yes, can't believe Jeter couldn't do more to prevent those 19 turnovers and missed free throws and wide-open 3s.
Classic coaching meltdown.

The comment is completely wrong but I can see where the dislike for Jeter from some comes from. I personally like Jeter but until he returns to the tournament again he is going to have his doubters. This game wasn't his fault except for maybe halftime adjustments. When a team is not having success the coach is 1st to blame. Besides a tourney win with Pearls team Jeter has not had success in the public eye. Lets hope that all changes this year! ;D
