May not happen this year. Not against Wisconsin and likely not against Marquette Power 6 team in DePaul Power and DePaul do not belong in the same sentence.

Butler survives 68-66.
DePaul, whatever you call them, isn't a big non-conference win. No bigger than UNI last year.

Needed to be a little closer to 50% from 3 to overcome the discrepancy at the foul line tonight.

What could've been if they made free-throw and some three's.

May not happen this year. Not against Wisconsin and likely not against Marquette Power 6 team in DePaul I wouldn't consider a victory against DePaul a "big" non-conference win. I expect this team to beat MU, Wisconsin, or both this year. Swept again and I will be VERY disappointed.

Ugly game. Makes Meier's injury that much more disheartening. Don't know that that the result would be different, but having another offensive weapon out there would've been huge.

Per Doc's, it's down to 13 1/2. Whoever had Michigan State to cover is pretty pissed right now.

Yes it was a loss, but still a lot of good things tonight.
Will have more after Dylan and I watch it on Saturday.

MSU pushed it to 13 on that second half run. Final margin: 13. Satisfactory. MSU is going to beat a lot of high major teams by 13 this year.
Oh, and Ja'Rob had 2 more steals. The victory train rolls on!

There was NOTHING satisfactory about this. We had a chance to make this a game, and we rolled over and got our asses kicked in the second half. I'm f-ing tired of moral victories.

You wouldn't expect that if you have watched either of those teams play, Lou. Both are better than last year, and without Tony, we are not as good. As for tonight, the first half is something to build on. Our guys need to realize that when the other team has so much more talent, you can't coast at any point in the game. And you aren't going to beat anybody with 28 fouls and 19 turnovers. That's just undisciplined. But all in all a credible performance in a very tough environment. Why, with James's last second putback, we even beat the spread.
