Ja'Rob is a good defender. Wait...what? Um, yeah. My thoughts exactly...

The idea that a player can have improved three years into a college career is just so strange, I know.

It will be tough but hopefully home court will help us a lot and allow us to pull one out, I would say they are probably the better team with Meier out.

As BP said, Ja'Rob is an improving defender but I would be no way say he is a good defender as of yet, but he has gotten better in his 3 years, its just still not that good.
Ja'Rob still plays under at the level of i better score at least one more point then the guy he guards does style....

The idea that a player can have improved three years into a college career is just so strange, I know. This sarcastic statement and your previous statement that Ja'Rob is a good defender are two very different ones. Ja'Rob is more like an Allen Iverson defender. He'll get his steals, but you'd never put him on the opposing teams best scorer. Unlike Iverson however, he doesn't play the passing lanes as well as he should... He's getting better, but so do 95% of all college basketball players...

Turnover margin is important. Ja'Rob's on-ball skills are fine, his steal ability has improved tremendously, and while he isn't the most physical and can't cover passing lanes especially well, I never said he was great.

Forget never saying he was great, he's not even good at defense. In fact Jeter is trying to sugar coat it for you by saying he's an improving defender and you still miss the boat by a mile.

I have a pair of tickets in 207 for free if anyone needs them. Boss gave them to me and I'm already using mine.

Yeah...It was awesome to hear from my fraternity brothers running the event that they did a lot of work to get the Panthers, the Racing Sausages among other local people to come support our annual food drive.

If Tony is healthy enough to help raise money for this noble cause then I expect to see him on the court this weekend....i am half kidding of course. Great cause.

Speaking of Tony, anyone have any idea how his recovery is coming along? I know some were holding out hope at a December return, is that still the feeling or has anyone heard otherwise?

I like Ja'Rob. He's a very nice, well spoken person and is a credit to our program and the university. He can be an absolutely unstoppable shooter at times and when he is on - it is impressive, to say the least. But he is, without doubt, a defensive liability when he is on the floor. I really don't understand how this can be debated.
