There is no way he is still on this team.
-3X the legal limit -eluding and interference with cops -No valid driver's license -Tackled by K9 Unit after running away and hopping fences
I'm no legal person, but wouldn't possible jail time be warranted?

I think a lot depends on the direction this goes. If this was his first run-in, he takes responsibility for his actions, apologizes to the coaching staff, his teammates, family, friends, fans etc., gets whatever help he needs, works at earning everyone's trust back, then yeah I can see him staying on. Obviously how the legal process works out is pretty big as well. There is a lot that needs to be done though...

At that high of a BAC, I'm sure he had no idea what he was doing.
I just hope for Kaylon that it was a simple case of being stupid and drinking way too much. And there isn't anything in his life right now that made him feel the need to drink that much.
Finally, I do hope to see Kaylon back in a Panther uniform.
That's all I'm going to say about it.

I think there are certain actions that require immediate dismissal and this is one of those situations that qualifies.

Actually, I believe there was a situation that happened recently in his personal life that I could see how it would lead to something like that.

Isn't the man who raised him -- his grandfather -- on his deathbed?
I know from personal experience that situations like these can drive you to drink .. or worse.
I believe that this matter needs to be dealt with in a very measured, empathic way.

This is a situation where we know some of the situation but not all of the situation. If he does end up coming back, I trust Rob's judgement that he made the appropriate decision. This was absolutely 100% K's fault and he compounded the issue with his attempted escape. Rob's now up to bat for dealing with it correctly. Every program has issues that crop up. It happens to everyone. We've just seen them happen occasionally so I think we are quite good and in control in this area. There's no question this is bad and really unfortunate. I guess the only good thing is it happened now (before the season) vs. mid-season. Let's see what happens and how the coaches and AD handle it.....

Here's to Kaylon getting the help he needs to move forward from this.
I, for one, am not comfortable having him represent my university any more.

Again all the people that are crucifying Kaylon for what he did without knowing the whole story need to slow down. This is a college kid that made a mistake but what lead to the mistake is the key hear. everyone saying kick him off the team and I don't want him representing us are you listening to yourselves. With the way media is these days we hear more and more about student athletes getting in trouble and the schools dealing with it. Did Kaylon break the law YES is he going to be dealt with yes but he broke no school rule as I know it and he didn't break an NCAA rule so why are we saying kick him off. I guess you all forgot about this guy www.wdtn.com/dpp/news/local/WDTN_WSU_basketball_star_arrested_for_DUII believe it was the same thing DUI in the summer didn't miss one game. LOOK at all the facts first before judging. Because when he was having triple doubles against butler he was one of us but he makes a mistake and now we don't want him. Just sad

Just sad Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion regarding this matter, but as Mcdade already stated, I am not comfortable with Kaylon being a representative of our alma mater. You use the word "mistake" as if it can only be quantified to one narrow series of actions. This was bigger than a simple mistake. He broke the law and put people's lives in jeopardy by being behind the wheel at more than three times the legal limit. He further exacerbeated the issue by running from law enforcement. Sometimes a second chance isn't warranted. This is one of those instances!

Actually, I believe there was a situation that happened recently in his personal life that I could see how it would lead to something like that. Shoot. I've been there myself. I've also watched close friends around me doing much, much, worse things than drinking/driving. It's the reason why I am very careful these days with how much I drink.

I'm sure no one feels worse about the whole situation than Kaylon. Many of you have met Kaylon in person, and believe this is a good young man with a good head on his shoulders when sober. If this is in fact the case, then I'm sure the gravity of the situation is weighing on Kaylon pretty heavy.
If Kaylon is remorseful and works to improve himself with the remaining off-season, and seeks the help it appears he may need, then I support him returning to the team. This situation appears to be a black eye for the team, but I believe good things can still come out of this, like others have mentioned the ball is now in Jeter's court.
I know one thing. Kaylon is a panther as of right now, and whether he deserves it or not, he should get the support of panther nation.
