It doesn't matter if Rob withdrew his name or if PSU settled on Chambers. At some point he will get and take one of these opportunities. Good for him and -- because he will only get those opportunities if he keeps doing well -- good for us.
Understand, this will never change, no matter who our coach is. So accept it and take care to hire guys like Rob who truly are committed to building the program, not just building an exit strategy.

I agree.
If this job is a steppingstone job like we all say it is, then everything you're doing is an exit strategy.
I just hope this is the last "flirtation" we have the rest of the summer.
Another good season like last and we can pretty much say we'll have a new coach for 2012-13.

Agreed. And if we have the type of season next season we all expect, he'll have plenty of opportunities to move on.

"Let's get real. Penn State, Miami and Bradley do not want Rob Jeter as their basketball coach. The fact that Jeter is still coaching at UWM is incomprehensible.
"Attendance at regular-season games has dwindled considerably. Jeter's record after subtracting his first year with Bruce Pearl's players is under .500.
"As long as Jeter is coaching at UWM, mediocrity will flourish and piles of tickets will remain unsold."

That is one of the most ignorant statements I've ever read. People who don't know what they are talking about or take the time to do any research are so out of touch with reality its not funny.
