Depaul is as good this season as Purdue is. And they get Syracuse at home on New Year's Day. And I'll go further to state that if we'd have shot the ball 3/4 as well against Wisconsin or Marquette as we did against Depaul we'd have won both games. Our offense goes as far as our shooting guards, and when it's doing well we're a top-50 team. We need Ja'Rob back, or Evan Richard to get serious minutes. (Or Mitch Roehlke to play some time at the 2. Hint hint.)

No one's suggesting that Milwaukee wasn't competitive against the state's BCS schools.
The fact of the matter is that the Panthers didn't win those games.
Hack's point is that Butler has learned how to finish, earning the benefit of the doubt.

Don't count out, Detroit. I think I might count out, Detroit.

Or Mitch Roehlke to play some time at the 2. Hint hint.) Are you related to Mitch? I mean, I like him - he's a good guy and his effort is superb, but you really can't be suggesting that the team would better served if he played more minutes. Are you?

If Mitch could come into a game and knock down a 3pt shot and hit every time I dont mind him being used like Zach Hahn was early in his years at Butler..come in knock down a few..but no more than 1-2 min a game

Mitch has been our most reliable 3-point shooter all year and is the best pure knock-down shooter on the team. I can't imagine how we're not better served offensively with Mitch out there instead of Paris, who is shooting 28% for the season.

Based on 8 field goal attempts all season?

Mitch has shot six three-pointers on the year. I'd say let's see what he does with 50, but at the same time I would never trot him out there that much.
Get serious, SuperKing.

Watching us make one three-pointer all game and then watching Mitch calmly stroll in and knock one down despite being cold off th bench against Marquette suggests to me that if we play games where we end up shooting 35% -- which is bound to happen many times this year -- it sure as hell doesn't hurt to give Mitch more shots and see if he can't keep it up. It doesn't matter how good our defense is; if we can't score the basketball we're going to lose when it matters.

You actually want a walk-on and 11th man to boot play more minutes on a team that is 10-4?
Better question, who would Roelke guard?

So when the magical game over garbage time arrives he can shoot 3's with no pressure and we don't have to worry about defense. WEeeeeeeeeeee, what a great ride!

Mitch, played a huge role with two first half three's when the Panthers were strugging versus SW Minn St.
