Utah State as a 12 is a crime, and the committee needs to be recalled for it. There's a host of other royal screw jobs. Hey, committee, how about you don't go into that room high? Just a suggestion for next year.

Just a suggestion for next year. That is a crime. The committees low opinion of Utah St. is probably what cost St. Marys a bid. If they would have lost to Boise St. the 17th ranked team in the country would be sitting at home, while USC UAB and Clemson are in.

Belmont as a 13 is totally insane. UAB being in the field over Harvard is grand larceny.
Also, Michigan is an 8. That should not go without being mentioned.

Florida is a 2, Oakland is a 13, Tennessee is a 9, Michigan St is a 10, Georgia is a 10, just one MVC team, Notre Dame is not only not a 1, but is paired against one of the better 1's.
What's beyond pathetic? I don't really believe in conspiracy theories, but they're making it damn hard not to.
Positives - 3 CAA teams made it, Butler got a deserving seed, and it's STILL better than the BCS.

Notre Dame didn't deserve to be a 1 over Duke, who won their conference tournament.

over Pitt. ND beat Pitt staright up, had more quality wins, and went further in the conference tourney. I agree Duke should've been a number 1.

I have no problem with Utah State as a 12 seed, they beat nobody. I said that 3 week ago on here.

You can't penalize a team for doing well with what is had to work with. That's exactly what the committee did. USU played BYU tougher than SDSU did in 2 of the 3 games, SDSU got a 2 seed. USU was nationally ranked (17th in ESPN/USA Today and 23rd in AP).

St. Mary's is a nobody? That's better than any regular season victory UWM had back in 2006, when we got an 11 with 3 more losses.

Pitt maintained more time in the top 5 than almost anyone. They also didn't lose a single game in the Big East by more than 5 points, with their worst loss of the season being a 7-pointer to Tennessee. Notre Dame, on the other hand, got spanked by West Virginia (72-58), St. John's (72-54), Marquette (79-57), and Kentucky (72-58).

rice, you have no way of knowing that but giving you the benefit of the doubt, they still lost 3 f-ing times and won 30. They were nationally ranked. They should've been a 7 at worst. They're season warranted that at the very least.
King, good points, but I like the head to head victory and number of quality wins. But even if they are a #2, they should have gotten one of the lower #1's (Duke or Pitt), not Kansas.

i agree with you...they did get the shaft. I just dont like the "they didnt have the opportunity to get a big win" argument. No matter whose fault it is they still dont have a big win

They had a big win, an RPI top 50 true road win against a team that belonged in the field. A lot of stuff is up for debate as always with Utah St getting a 12 and Michigan getting an 8 being the biggest question marks. With eleven teams in from one conference getting in, it must have made things extremely difficult in scheduling, so I would be surprised if Utah St and Michigan had to switch seeds due to early matchup conflicts.
Of course being a sucker for conspiracy theories, having a big 10 guy run the selection process couldn't have hurt the big 10's entry and seedings. That being said, the vadgers could have a gripe with drawing Belmont off the bat, upset special.

After that sh*t display Friday night, the Badgers can't gripe about anything. I'm surprised they didn't get a 5.
