Here's how Norris Cole does things: Spend 30 minutes trying to get your teammates involved, give up on them for the last 10 minutes and do absolutely everything yourself.
Then lose. 64-56 College of Charleston.

Valiant try by Northwestern. Playing essentially past midnight a long, long way from home.

Has anyone checked on McDade today?
That was an anguishing loss.
Too bad; I was really pulling for NU.
By the way, where was Shurna?

He was clancking 3-pointers left and right.
Can't believe we almost had a Butler-Pitt type ending again.

Heartbreaking loss...would have meant the world to the Cats to play at MSG. Oh well, live by the three die by the three. They played their guts out in a hostile environment. At least they can hold their heads up high with class. WSU? Not so much (see: Deangelo Castro).
Juice Thompson just might be my favorite all time college player. Yes, even over one Von McDade.

Biggest-ever deficit in an NIT semifinal: 1945 -- DePaul 95, Rhode Island 51
Maybe Washington State can keep it more respectable than this.
There could be bona fide mid-major champions in all 2011 postseason tournaments.
