Michigan State just beat Florida State by 16 at home, nudge nudge. That's because the Seminoles play in a league where they don't often see the size and athleticism that you see in the Big Ten.

Wow! Tough loss.
Is that UALR's arena? Did anyone know about the game?

Ben Brust actually made a shot very much like that (but deeper) at the end of UW's game against Carolina. Obviously it was not a game winner.

"Musburger is old maybe he thought Wisconsin really won the game. Please ESPN do not let this guy do any more basketball games; the game has pasted him by."
It's amazing to me that in a short sequence like that there could be such a hilarious lack of commas, but one dynamically perfect semicolon. And then that spelling error! Art.

DePaul beats Pittsburgh in DePaul 84-81 tonight.

That victory over DePaul is looking better by the day.
The Panthers currently have one "bad" RPI loss ... to No. 107 Western Michigan.
Still hoping for a "quality" win. DePaul might be the one.

meh...a team we beat beating a team that looks like it's headed for the NIT isn't going to do much for our seeding should we win the Horizon League tourney...
a couple of low-major teams knocking off a top 10 team would've done wonders for their at-large chances should they lose their conference tournaments

Parker, those 49er and Seahawk teams that you saw were mostly a mirage.
Take a closer look at their wins ... and the quality of the opponents left on their schedules.
If you want some non-BCS teams to root on the rest of the way, try these:
Murray State (a freight train out of the OVC) Temple Dayton St. Louis Creighton Wichita State Indiana State Northern Iowa Gonzaga St. Mary's BYU UNLV San Diego State Colorado State New Mexico Southern Miss
LBSU played a terrific non-conference schedule, but it just didn't get any wins over Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, North Carolina and San Diego State. That win over Xavier doesn't look like anything anymore.
Where it concerns us, you know how it goes:
"So, did UWM beat anyone this year?"
"Milwaukee. Well, we did beat DePaul out of the Big East."
"Yeah, but they finished winless in their conference. Big deal."
"Well, we did come close against Wisconsin."
Always cheer for the teams that we've played in the non-conference.

Always cheer for the teams that we've played in the non-conference. I can respect that opinion, but i prefer to root for the team i like better
