So last year we started talking about this years schedule at about this time so I would like to figure our next years schedule.
I am still totally focused on this year but finding out who we get next year is fun to talk about so here goes:
We have the 9 home and 9 away Horizon League games obviously.
and for the Non-conference this is what I got so far:
Home Buffalo? (Not sure if they are playing the return game next year) Wisconsin? (Not sure when we get them at the cell but I thought it was in the near future)
Away Marquette Northen Iowa ESPN Bracket Buster (I could be wrong but I believe we are on the road again next year)
Thats 23 games so far. I would like the schedule to be 30 games with NO Non-D1 opponents.
Are their any more games that we know of for next year?

Other possible opponents that I'm not sure about are:
Western Michigan (Do we have another game in the series with them?) DePaul (Was that a one time deal this year or a home and home/ 2 for 1?)
I believe we finished the deal with South Dakota St. and Bowling Green this year.

Coach Bidlingmyer had an add on 9/2/2010
UW-Milwaukee is looking for 4 H/H series. Due to the unbalance of games already contracted we need 3 of those games to start in Milwaukee and return in 2012-13. The other game needs to start on the road as a traditional H/H or a 2 for 1 witha BCS school.

I'm sure since Milwaukee has not had an add in since 9/2/10, I'm willing to bet they are done or almost done with the non-league schedule.
Home- Wisconsin & Buffalo or in 2012-13
Road- Western Michigan, Northern Iowa, Marquette & BracketBuster
I heard over the summer, Milwaukee will be at Kentucky.

That would be a hell of an RPI-boosting non-conference schedule. I wonder who Cleveland State is scrambling to play?

The Badgers are not back until 2013 I think (maybe even 2014). Why would the BB be on the road again next year?
Kentucky would be a fun game to play. Also, I would think that with Pearl gone we would have a shot getting a 2 for 1 with Illinois with Weber being an Alum or it would not hurt to ask. Also, I would love to see us play a home and home with Mason or ODU from the CAA but thats because Im out here in DC. Adding a home and home with MO St or Wichita St would make more sense maybe and would be quality adds.

Why would the BB be on the road again next year? I believe its because we decided to take a 2nd year in a row at home over the last 2 seasons so this year and next year we have to play BB on the road.

I think we should take road Bracketbusters games every year. It gives us a great home non-con game the next season.

I see what your saying but I don't mind having a home game 1st depending on the year. If we were having a great year and got home TV game I would be glad were home in an ESPN atmosphere

The Badgers are not back until 2013 I think (maybe even 2014). Badgers are at the Cell in the 2011-12 season, per Rob Jeter (over the summer)

Speaking of Bruce's it would be nice if Pearl gave us a 2 for 1.

Wisconsin will be at the Cell in 2011-12.
Milwaukee will not be going to Kentucky in 2011-12. Kentucky had a specific date for us this season and we can't match up dates for next year.

Alright so we have this so far for the Non-Conference Schedule
Home Wisconsin
Away Marquette Northen Iowa ESPN Bracket Buster
And Buffalo will instead give us a return game in 2 years. We still have A LOT to fill for next year. It will be fun to see who we can get on the schedule. I will be happy as long as we have NO D-2 opponents similar to this years schedule.
