I just noticed that Leneal Harris plays for Parkside. Good for him for getting back on track.

No Monday or Wednesday home games this year, a little strange but oh well. Really, you find it strange? Those are not common days the Panthers play home games anyways. It was two last season.

Here some things that stand out to me on the home schedule, in terms of times.
-Dec. 1, UIC. It's not an ESPN or HLN game. Why is it a 1pm game and not the normal 7pm game? MU-UW is at 3:30pm. The BigTen Football Title game is a night, so that could be why the Panthers made it a day game.
-Jan. 7 Green Bay has no time. It's not a ESPN or HLN game. My guess is to keep the time window open because of NFL wildcard weekend.
-Nov. 20 Texas Southern at 4pm. Packers play noon.

Bold predictions. I want to see how the team looks before making any predictions at all.

It's still very smart by the UWM office. It's hard for them to get the date they want, but they can control the times they play. No reason to go head to head with the Packers or Bucky if they make the Big Ten Title game.
I love the proactive thinking by the Panthers!!

I just want to reiterate what a big fan I am of the preseason closed-door scrimmage.
This year, as many of you know, we'll be facing Northwestern at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Many national pundits consider John Shurna one of the top 20 players in the country.

And in an interesting bit of cross-scheduling, Wisconsin will be scrimmaging at DePaul. I wonder if a few observations won't be shared between Rob and Bo after those scrimmages.
I don't think John Shurna is one of the top 20 players in the country, but I do think he may be one of the top 20 offensive players. I would love to be a fly on the wall of that scrimmage. I know it's mostly a learning exercise but after NU ended our season last year I can imagine some of our guys who didn't play too well in that game (no need naming names) might feel like they have a little something to prove.

I bet it won't be too long before nobody is playing exhibition games anymore.
