One of Rob Jeters big fat faults is his timeout management. Someone explain to me why we still have five on the board.

Doubt it, King. Just terrible shooting/shot selection. yes, but we're committing a ton of turnovers and Valpo was shooting 61% at one point. Add to that Valpo's shooting fouls -- so far we've taken 8 free throws to Valpo's 1 -- and it seems like the mismatches are/were hurting both teams in some way.

Gonna need a big 2nd half to pull this one off...
I highly doubt it but maybe there is something Jeter is saying right now that will light a fire under these guys...

I think it's safe to say we looked past this one. For whatever reason. Looked past a team that's ahead of us in the standings? Please. More likely, we're getting handled by a team that's better and much more well-coached.

"I think it's safe to say we looked past this one. For whatever reason." Sorry Super King. This is just a below average team. No looking past. Just not that good. Great point on time out. The blow out started immediately and no reaction from the coaching staff? REALLY?

I laugh every time someone says, there's an easy stretch coming up to save the team. We ARE the easy stretch/ bad team on everyone else's schedule.

We've seen 4-guard sets before; hell we run one pretty often.

Way too many turnovers.

12 turnovers by the Panthers. UWM hasn't had more than 10 turnovers in a game in it's last three games.

Well, that was our ugliest half since that historic scoring drought we had....at Valparaiso. The funny thing is that the foul situation favors us by a mile, as our FT% sitting at 78%. Valpo is 2 of 6 from the line. Their leading scorer in this game, Michael Rogers, is playing with 3 fouls, and he's really the only one with an exceptional field goal percentage, while none of our players have more than one foul. That might hurt them.
Tone and Ja'Rob are both playing miserable, something that's happening quite often these days. Without that solid 2-guard, a lot of what makes us dangerous is gone.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if this was close by the end. Jeter is probably literally on fire in the locker room. And we're a good second half team regardless.

love the optimism. this team is definitely streaky enough to make it close...or have another miserable half. it's anyone's guess.

"I think it's safe to say we looked past this one. For whatever reason." Sorry Super King. This is just a below average team. No looking past. Just not that good. I forcefully disagree. It's an incredibly inconsistent team. A below average team doesn't record wins against UNI and Butler and come within four points of beating Marquette. It would be one thing if there was precedent for this performance, but when's the last time we put up a shooting half like this? Certainly not this year. And I wouldn't be shocked at all if we took Butler far more seriously than Valpo. Valpo was a total unknown to our team.

I know what your saying but in reality the definition of a bad team is a horribly inconsistent one. Sure we have amazing games where we beat UNI, Butler and took Marquette to the wire. However when we are playing like this or losing to teams like Loyola and DePaul we simply aren't that good this year. Below .500 and inconsistent=Below Average Team imo...

Really bad teams win games they shouldn't. We are a below average team. You are kidding yourself if you think otherwise.
