Guys, I just don't know what to say abou the situation anymore. We all love this team and this program, but things aren't working. And there's nothing wrong with questioning leadership after 6 years of failed coaching. We've been more than patient. No self-respecting program would put up with the mediocrity that we've put up with. Part of it has been strange situations --- players leaving, players having conflicts of interest, players not living up to their hype... but bottom line --- things aren't going in the right direction.
I'll certainly back down from my post last night that was made in utter disbelief and frustration, but I won't put up with the garbage that I've witnessed this season. This is bad basketball, plain and simple. This team is entirely too taleltned to play so poorly. I mean, look at the terrible teams we had post-Pearl. They were barely D-1, but at least you saw fight. I'm not sure what we're looking at now.
I guess let's see what happens tomorrow and the next game, but at this point, my patience has run out. And I'd hope that at some point Panther fans say enough already. You can love your school and question the direction.

i'm sorry...the guy spent the last 2 years as an assistant to a pair of lame duck coaches...if he were worth his crazy ass demands he'd have gotten a head coaching job in the last 6 years...or at least a college assistant job better than the one Jeter left to take our head coaching job (particularly since he's added "nba assistant" to his resume) it's time to get over the idea that Mike Dunlap would've been the next Bo Ryan...

Dunlap is extremely respected in the coaching world. Maybe he is just a long term assistant coach. In fact, a veteran coach is exactly what this team is missing on the sidelines. www.nytimes.com/2009/03/25/sports/ncaabasketball/25arizona.htmlWhy would I want another Bo Ryan? I think everyone needs to get over hiring a D3 coach to replace Rob. Get someone with D1 head experience from a low major conference or an assistant coach with experience at a high major. Dunlap's style is much more similar to Bruce Pearl.
